I like wynn, though At level 46 I havent explored any of gavel besides those stupid llevigar plains from clearing the camps. I do love llevigar, but wynn has got ragni, almuj, nemract, great quests, AND the best city in the game so far, DETLAS!!! (also festivals)

 

imo wynn is consistently neat, whereas gavel is either amazing or absolutely ass(cough cough canyon of the lost, the most convoluted and difficult to navigate area, being 1/2 the size of wynn cough cough)

overall i think gavel is better than wynn rn since 1.20 made it epic and cool

yes sky islands is more of a headache but it doesnt overstay its welcome like cotl does

controversial opinion i think the jungle is neat, my main gripe is the inconsistent lore and the fact that dernel is so far removed from the rest of the map i forgot it existed until you mentioned it just now

 

I would say Wynn is better because of SE

 

Gavel has my favorite areas (CotL, Cinfras and Sky Islands) but Wynn is more nostalgic and has imo more interesting lore (I love all these little details on the war with the Corruption)

 

I like Wynn's overall structure. The city of Detlas is at the center. The regions are arranged around the city like spokes of a wheel, so its hub is very accessible, and because of that, to me it feels more like you're actually travelling around a province, instead of from A to B.

Gotta say though, the CotL has to be my favourite region in the game. Best terrain, most interesting mobs, jaunty music, and I just adore how you have to learn how to navigate it. Once you know some routes, it's SO fun to traverse.
