Warrior/Knight Help Massacre Trouble

I found an absolutely great spear for my level but it's attack speed is normal. I really want to keep massacre so I can max out corruption without taking damage however massacre can only be activated when the weapon I am using has a slow attack speed or lower. I was planning on using an bracelets that reduces attack speed by 1 tier, but I'm concerned about whether or not that would work.

any warrior players know whether or not it would work?
