SPOILER What is everything we know about Fruma?

The Darkness Portal is literally in the Silent Expanse. Do you see how infected the entire place is?

 

Honestly I still believe when we get to Fruma, we will learn more about the sand kingdom that Almuj built on top on. They have similar rulers where the royalty has access to magics(The discovery has the emperor said "Not every being is capable of harnessing magic like I am Hashr, you know that." and with Hashr saying "Life beyond the walls is different, vibrant, but most importantly - magical." imply that the common people of the sand kingdom has no access or knowledge of magic.) similar to Fruma with the royalty having magics to make them appear like a god("My father was mortal like us all. His power came from this sceptre. He is a false God." as said by Hashr) while common people having none and any of them that do will be mark as curesed(Like Tasim) and send out away from the empire.

 

And here my theory falls

 

Alright, geographical theory, which is slightly important upon consideration of ROL4: Fruma is the opposite of SE. If SE is the "territory" Dern/ROD created in Wynn to fight their wars, then Fruma is probably the "territory" ROL created to fight their wars. Wynn is the continent of wars according to ROL4, after all. This would also explain why Fruma is kinda shit these days: ROL is dying, Gavel is decaying, therefore the Wynnic expansion of their territory, Fruma, is also dying, just in its own way. This also explains why Fruma unhesitatingly sends all their prisoners straight to Wynn; they're doing what they can to still contribute to the ROL, but they fear their own imminent destruction due to the ROL's dying state, so they're extremely trigger happy regarding imprisonment and banishment to fight in the war. In their minds, if Wynn stays at war with Dern, then they don't need to worry about a direct invasion. In addition, this all lines up with Orphion's own belief of Light, as he believes light should destroy darkness and defend itself, no matter the cost, as seen in ROL3. Fruma does an excellent job of portraying this.

Note: All a theory. I could be 100% wrong, I could be partially correct, I could be completely correct. Who knows.

This is some of Orphy's dialogue after you beat the Nexus of Light raid. I think he's referring to the Queen of Fruma.



That is to say, the Queen of Fruma might be allied with the Dern Beast, and is helping them directly.

I’m not sure that queeny is allied with the dern beast, as Fruma is afraid of the corruption, and the corruption is somewhat allied with dern’s plan. Fruma queen is just greedy for power and I think that it would be cool but make not much sense if the fruma queen just has an equivalent to a phone line to dern. Fruma may just be imperialist and a dictatorship, and it’s isolation could just mean that they have some kind of culture that they want the keep safe from outside influences

 

As much as I am the one usually bringing up crazy theories, I think in this case Orphion is referring directly to the Dern Beast. We can't know if it is a "she", might as well be; plus the fact that he's talking about influence is a direct nod to Dern being in the plane of influence, while Fruma should be on the plane of existence.

Well true, but Orphy also said that the dark has "power unknown" and that the parasite invading the Realm of Light "cannot be blamed solely on the dark itself."

I think the word "influence" is less of a nod to the fact that the realms are called "Realms of Influence," but rather refers to an outside party "tipping the scales". I could be wrong about this, but as far as I'm aware this is the worst the stasis has been disrupted in the whole history of the war. The Dern Beast couldn't have magically just became more powerful; there must be an outside party influencing the results.

That could be it honestly, the only other like powerful characters who are she's is like Qira and Lari (OMG WHAT IF IT's LARI ogm omg).

The reason I don't think it's the Dern Beast is I don't think we'll ever be able to kill the light or dark. Apart from the fact the player couldn't and even if we could I feel like the consquences would outweigh stopped the Dern. There must be a balance right so I feel like if we were to kill the dern beast, orphion would die as well or he'd have no one to balance him.

Also one thing we know about Fruma is that it's very based in Eastern Asian (chinese?). Idk if it was mentioned I only looked over it all briefly. Also good chance that Fruma is racist.

 

in silverbull HQ there is an npc about the lootrun camps, he says we made the SE one...

 

You are the only human in SE, so it's the little way to tie something otherwise not canon to canon company. You could think of it as it just straight up not existing, or the "people" running it aren't actually people.

 

I've been trying to connect various parts of the sneak peak video to map out espren, but am having difficulty in doing so. It seems to be a fairly large town.

 

According to my research, fruma is hard to research

 

Here is what I found. The tower seen in 1:18 also appears for a moment on the left side of 0:03. The same central tree is in frames 0:18 to 0:24. The purple carpets in the tree make it look like the item identifier location. A powder master is also nearby. There is a distant waterfall in the background of 0:29, which means that the place isn't fully enclosed. The fountain and pumpkin cart in 0:38 can be seen again in 0:50 and 1:25 respectively. Which means that the wall is just to the left of the fountain's frame in 0:38. 0:50 and 0:38 also shows the location of the weapon merchant. The central tree and a a small part of the wall at 1:05 can be seen in the upper left.

The town has a wall to one side of it, forests to two sides, and a lake with a waterfall on the last side. Shops and NPCs seem to be around a central tree.

 

I really want this to happen I am in full support of Fruma being heavily themed on Asian architecture and atmosphere

But when was this ever confirmed asides from that one name of the Fruma guard mentioned in the random library
