SPOILER Who were the six that killed the corrupter of worlds before the player?

I recently redid Temple of Legends quest while levelling a class, and noticed that Kelight mentions six people who killed the CoW before the player.

I did a brief Google search on who they were, but nothing came up, which leads me to believe they’re as of right now unknown. If this is the case, here are some ideas on who they could be:

-Bob (doesn’t really need explaining)
-Siegfried (a bit less likely but possible)
-Aledar or Tasim (Though I feel like if this were the case we would see them there)
-The Twains (probably a bit too long ago though)
-Tisaun Sodeta (fairly likely I’d say, as he was a local hero and an important figure)
-Maybe some of the characters mentioned in item lore, such as Rycar, who is a warrior (this is a bit of a stretch)

If I’m being stupid and the six are known please correct me.

 

I doubt it because of the Hero of Gavel quest

 

Kelight states thst the six fighters "never came back" i.e. died.

 

literally where did you get the idea of rycar being a warrior from

 

I saw a thread on the forums talking about them when I was looking into it that said rycar was a warrior

I guess I misread that then. Tbf I wasn’t paying much attention. But surely the player isn’t the only one who’s defeated it right? There has to be other Legends, otherwise what’s the point in the temple if nobody’s in it

 

The guy on Mage Island (or maybe the creeper cave guy?) says that he's seen people return from killing it.

 

Good to know my idea wasn’t completely crazy then. Regardless of whether they died or not, it’s still interesting who they could’ve been

I think the six guys are the six corpses found in CoW's arena. Some are under ice. Unfortunately it's not a big lore moment as they aren't mentioned anywhere else.

 

I don't think the number of people who killed CoW is specified but there are a few who very likely did

Bob - Slykaar said that Bob was the reason he got exiled, went to Troms and took his place as the hero so I'm guessing he also neutralized CoW while he was there
The Twains - These guys probably had to kill CoW more than a few times to keep him down while they transported him to the cave and put the seal
Tisaun Sodeta - Considering how he established the guild right next to Troms he probably had to kill CoW to do his job as a mercenary

Honestly I don't really like the way TOL (quest) was written because although Kelight gave me access to TOL (building) I didn't really make any lasting impact. I like the idea of CoW's unique corruption ability being able to constantly revive himself but there was no threat in the quest, no sense that I HAD to go down there otherwise Trom's would get destroyed like with Corrupted Betrayal (Slykaar quest). If quest was like "The Twain seal has been deteriorated by the Corrupter's magic and you must go into his cave to kill him and buy time to reapply the seal (with a rune puzzle like AHC)" I would've been pumped to go down there and kick corrupted a$$ but in the actual quest I was kinda just like "Do I really have to prove myself to some snooty booger?"

 

Yeah, I think the quest would be a lot cooler that way, or if it goes to crap and CoW breaks out and you have to battle him outside the gates of Troms before he destroys the city

 

I believe this could be a reference to the original six players who defeated CoW when it was first added as a boss to the game (it was the hardest piece of content at the time).

 

Spoiler: Siegfried ain't no hero
He can't kill the COW
Bob/ Aledar/Tasim does not need 5 others to support them, the twains are only 5, and if they're all as powerful as theorick, the don't need help either. We don't know enough of Tisaun to judge if he's more powerful than COW

The people in ToL can also be scholars. You don't need to risk your lives to fight a menace to society to get into ToL, but since the wynn player is stupid, he choses the more diffcult path.
EDIT: now that I think of it, the easiest path would just be to charge right past Kelight

 

Nah I don't think we know where the six people who fought CoW are. They're probably somewhere adventuring after their successful slaying of the Corrupter of Worlds.



I'm sure they're having a great time enjoying life somewhere.
