Why is solar vanguard harder than The Eye?

It took me like 10 tries to beat him lol(when I was level 102!). Personally, my main problem with him is that there are too many particles and I cant see whats going on at all unless I go into the air.

 

The trick is to avoid the white particle rings and take it slow so less of them spawn, walk speed helps a lot

 

Yeah I realized that it was better to take it slow, but i had no patience and just decided to damage at a normal pace.

I couldnt really dodge the white particles cus there was too much stuff on the screen and Haul barely moves you. However i learned that you can haul twice in the same direction if you click fast enough so that helped.

 

Try turning down particle settings if that’s your issue

 

The Hive bosses have been reworked, and the Eye hasn’t. I should make a thread about that

I think, actually, the notable part of this post is not how strong vanguard is but how weak the Eye is. It used to be, like, a feat to beat the Eye - something rather difficult to do nonmythic - and now I can shred it on rte or specialist or even like compiler melee. For the final boss, this thing is so incredibly anticlimactic and easy nowadays, especially with Aledar’s warning to bring a party to the Eye being worthless. Please buff the Eye

And the sun is part of a army that doesnt even do shit. But yeah solar vanguard is way harder than the dern eyeball (what really helps with any major endgame boss is learning the special attacks and their sound/visual queues, like with greg)

 

i think it's more of nerf solar vanguard and the player rather than just buffing the eye

 

2.0 carried out a buff on such a massive scale that buffing the eye is just the easier thing to do, unless we want a repeat of that one time every item got nerfed. The numbers have just increased on the player and the hive bosses, but the Eye hasn't moved up to match them.
