What is the name of Wynncraft's world?

Exactly what it says. We know the names of all these different provinces like Wynn, Gavel, Corkus, Fruma, etc., but what is the name of the entire world/realm of Wynncraft?

 

What is the name of the ogre in the movie shrek?

 

If you're insinuating that the name of the world is literally "Wynncraft", no it is not. If it was, that would be stupid. For one, why would characters that don't even know about/have never been to the Wynn province call the world "Wynncraft"? And second, if the world was literally called "Wynncraft", then that would be like if the world of Gielinor was literally called "Runescape", or if the world of Azeroth was literally called "Warcraft".

The game annoyingly doesn't give us any direct mention to what the hell we are standing on. Sure, we see many, many examples of globe models across the map in the form of player heads (or the giant one in Theorick's mansion), combined with the fact that outer space is assumed to be pretty similar to ours' in terms of structure given what we know about the Cosmic storyline and the fact that we have been to the literal Moon, it is basically 99% confirmed that the main map takes place on a planet.

As for the name of said planet, whenever someone mentions the term "earth", it is never directly unambiguously clear whether they are referring to the actual planet or referring to the alternative version of the word earth, which is also another annoying aspect that I've noticed.

Given that I highly doubt Salted is going to do a sudden gotcha moment and reveal that the planet we are on is some fictional non-"Earth" exoplanet I think it's pretty safe to say that Wynncraft's main map takes place on a globe, and that for purely practical purposes can be referred to as Earth.

we have the names of the provinces but i dont think we have a concrete name of the entire world of wynncraft, id say the closest name to that is just wynn.

 

RoL IV refers to it as the Physical Plane, but as far as I know there is no name for the whole world

 

In most places it seems to imply if not outright state that the world we are on is definitely a planet, but there’s also the question of how the sky islands & portal to dern work with that, as the sky islands are floating above open sky and the portal to dern is above and in front of what seems like an endless abyss. Given that most of the time it seems like the world is a planet and that it’s a game and doesn’t necessarily have to make sense it probably is just a planet and there are just some parts of it that don’t make sense.

 

Both of the locations that you mentioned open out into the Void, which exists beyond our Physical Plane. So far nothing has outright denied the existence of the world being a planet yet.

It does refer it to the Physical Plane but we would also have to apply that to outer space, which by all means exists within the cosmic storyline and is very much inside of the Physical Plane

 

There doesn't seem to be a name for the planet.

The Plane of Physicality is the reality itself.

 

I've been looking up stuff for a while and still haven't found anything unfortunately.
I don't need sleep, I need answers!
