I’ve been playing for a few hours and I’ve lost all my sense of direction and I’m just lost

When I first started playing 9 years ago I remember being confused as well. I recommend you complete some quests, they will progress you through the world. If you are physically lost tho check the map on the website to see where you are.

How do you switch archetypes? I didn’t know what they were and didn’t pick the one I wanted

I’m assuming you mean class, to change that you just make a new class as the class you want

You really only get into a lot of archetype stuff in mid to late game, but you can reset your ability tree by using 3 ability crystals in your ability tree menu
I’m pretty sure that’s only unlocked after doing recover the past though

To add onto what other people have said, you can reset both your skill tree and skill points later on (skill points I believe form the start, skill tree after completing Recover the Past), so you're totally free to change your build however you'd like. Skill points can be changed for free and the skill tree can be reset for three ability shards, which are easy to come by, so there's no real loss in making "mistakes" or changing up your build. That's half the fun of the game really.

A lot of us were confused when we first joined, I think it's entirely normal for many of us. I remember I didn't have a clue about a lot of things when I first joined, but it all changes with time I assure you!

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! You can also add me as a friend in-game with /f add Suurfer, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have and walk you through anything you need help with if you catch me online.
