Media why Wynncraft is (kinda) Pay-2-Wynn (16stx = $100)

So there are these things called Tradable Silverbull Shares on the Wynncraft store. 2 of them cost $10, and they sell for around 48LE each on the trade market. By buying $10 worth of Silverbull shares, you get 2 silverbull shares, and as mentioned before, they sell for 48LE each. So with $10 you would get 96LE or 1.5stx.

Also here is what you get if you spend $100:

- 21 Silverbull Shares (worth 48LE each)
- 48x21 = 1008LE
- 1008/64 = around 16stx

So, with $100, you can get around 16stx of LE.

 

That unfortunately is kind of the point of them. I'm not a fan of the idea, but I can at least understand why this was added. That said, buying a bunch of them would probably lower the price, so I suspect buying a ton of them would actually kind of backfire.

That's why I'm never buying a share ingame, no matter how cheap they become or how good their features are. By buying a share on the market I'm giving my LE to someone who spent real money to get it, so yea no thanks.

 

I generally agree with the sentiment, but on the other hand I can see someone who has doesn't have time to grind various sources for money due to working a large number of hours preferring to spend some of the money they make to get some money ingame so that they don't have to worry about the grind in order to get some good gear.

 

I don’t think the pay to win is egregious because wynncraft is solely PvE.

If there is ever some sort of PvP update, the problem would be MUCH worse.

 

I'd say Hunted exists, but I think my HICH class that I died on and abandoned at level 9 (I'm bad at the game, okay?) made up a quarter of the Hunted population on the server.

You are giving LE to someone who gave their money to salted. Salted gives his money to the server and the server gives you LE for quests, raids, chests, etc. The full circle.
