A rare mob that spawns in the Sky Islands... According to the wiki
I have encountered this mob twice, once in the sky islands and once in southern corkus???!!!
Each time I found, It dropped something different.
It dropped what the wiki lists in the sky islands, but drops robot parts in corkus

Why?!

Is this a bug. An easter egg. I am thoroughly confused

 

There are rare mobs that spawn in various places on the map. They drop a variety of good crafting items.

 

Are you 100% sure that the mob you are finding in corkus is a rukh? I've grinded a lot of rare mobs and I know for sure that rukhs only spawn in the sky islands region (along with mirokawa and pegasus). Rukh's drop table reflects its spawn location as it has the sky island region drop table of certain ingredients (serafite/void particulates/skybound remnant), which only drop from sky island rare mobs.

Corkus rare mobs also has its own set of ingredients they exclusively drop, such as defective circuits and automatous cores. If the mob you're killing in corkus is dropping robot-type ingredients and not things like serafite and sky flux, then what you're killing isn't a rukh.

It's possible you mistook a certain mob for the rukh- some rare mobs in corkus are somewhat small, such as the stabot and the elusive surveillance camera mob (though the odds of getting a good look at the camera are very low). Do you know the exact ingredients that the corkus rukh dropped? I could likely figure out the mob based on the ingredient drops alone, since every rare mob has a specific guaranteed drop.

 

Okay, I read the name while finding it (I found the other one in the sky islands earlier that day) and was shocked. Same model, same name, same color name, same level. I am still pretty sure it is a bug, but not 100% For some reason I didn't take a screenshot, unfortunately. (Also I only found it once in each place.) I think in corkus it dropped defective circuits, optic fiber, and an autonomous core. Also I'm not 100% sure it was rukh (99%), but I am 100% on that it had a green name with 4 characters and had a similar appearance.

Okay just read the wiki page on the surveillance camera and it dropped the same things (I'm pretty sure.) However, I have encountered the surveillance camera once before, in a different place. And it certainly did not look like what I saw. And the "Rukh" I saw was much slower.

I'm still pretty sure this was a rukh, seeing as it looked exactly the same. I also do think it could have been some sort of bug where it accidentally gave the surveillance camera the traits of a rukh. Thank you for the help.

 

Also, now that I've seen a picture of it, I have found a stabot before, but it was not the "Maybe Rukh".
