Shadowfel Dragonling

It's a bug apparently, lol.

People keep wanting to find this thing but nobody has made a thread on it yet so I guess I might as well. That probably might actually help find it.

Random new players occasionally seem to have Spyro, uh, I mean this Shadowfel Dragonling pet active, looking at their profiles doesn't really seem to give a great hint at how they may have found it and any attempts to ask any of them always ended with a helpful "don't know" (granted I didn't ask anyone I saw with it myself because I don't want to be weird).

Basically, try to figure out how the heck to obtain the thing, I haven't a single clue for you and only random guesses. Perhaps it's given to recruited players? Maybe it replaces the chicken sometimes? (Yes, it does, of course...) Is there a website where you can vote for Wynn and you get it from that?(I doubt that, I feel like that's the kind of specific detail someone would've mentioned.) Who knows yet, it's just hard to tell since nobody knows where anyone has got it from. Hell it could even just be a completely normal new monthly reward(But again, still with that whole thing where people didn't know how they got it, I feel like that'd be a hard thing to forget)

An interesting thing (at least for me) is that when 2.0.3 released my pets that I always had active no longer remain enabled when I change worlds like they used to, so anyone who has this pet seems to have to be actively deciding to enable it every time they log on, which is interesting, maybe.

I really don't know whether it'd even be like oh you get it from doing x quest or y cave because I wouldn't think normal content would give a cosmetic but idk. Also I would think someone else would've found it already by now too if it were the case.

 

This is a bug? How is there a texture for it tho?

It’s just given to new players, Salted confirmed it. He said eventually it’ll be obtainable for everyone, though.

If I had to guess, and this might be a bit of a stretch here, that pet will probably be released for the 2023 festival of the bonfire. Reason why I'd say it's a bit of a stretch would be how it was only available for new players, though if it was automatically given to them at the start then it might be an accidental push for that pet only for newer players, but eh.
