Community Event 45 Player Cavalry EO Raid (Ended)

Thanks everyone who came! Unfortunately, as soon as new worlds came up, it became instantly full by players connecting to the server, so we weren't able to all fit into the world. As a result, I split it into 2 sessions with an extra third session for fun.

First session had 21 players, second had 15, and the third had 13.

It's been 2 years since the last 50 Player EO raid (first one here, second one here, third one here, fourth one on 1.20 Hero Beta I believe). Now I am introducing it again, but this time, we are on horses. Meaning EVERYONE must use Galloping Spurs!!!

That's right, the cavalry is coming!

For those of you who don't know what this is, this was quite a meme 3 years ago where I coordinated 50 players to beat the EO boss together at the same time on the same world. See the forum links above for how it went (terribly with major chaos). Everyone waits at the boss door, then on my signal, we all go in and beat up the boss.

If you are wondering if we will crash the server, there is a possibility this will happen. So there are restrictions to what class and ability you can come on. Essentially don't use abilities that create entities:

• Archers:
  • Sharpshooter only. All projectiles must not summon an arrow entity. Take Phantom Ray and Homing Arrows.
• Mage:
  • No Lightbender. Trust me, your orbs probably won't even move.
  • No Ice Snake and any of its variants.
• Shaman:
  • No Summoner. The rest are okay (I may be wrong here).
• Warrior:
  • Avoid Fallen. You can use it but it can spawn those skull entities.
• Assassin:
  • Avoid Trickster. You can use it but it can spawn those decoys.

There may be more that I am not aware of, I am not an expert at ability trees...

I also request that you do not use DPS builds so we can at least enjoy the chaos a few seconds longer...

If you want to join, please DM me on Discord @crokee99 for the server link! We will coordinate in the server for a time and strategize on the raid. The event starts on Sunday, July 23, 1pm EST.

All you need to do beforehand is get a build with Galloping Spurs, a Brown Horse, and get to the boss door. This event only applies at the boss so feel free to do whatever you need to do to get to the boss door.

If you just want to watch, I will be streaming it on Twitch when it starts.

 

suggestion: avoid mage entirely. ice snake is horrible for server tps

Aren't horses disabled in dungeons? (They are but EO might be an exception?)

 

I think horses are disabled in some parts, but I believe the only area we need to use the horse is during the actual boss fight itself. Besides, there's no way that 55 players are going to be able to do the parkour on a horse, and that's assuming the game lets you use a horse in the parkour anyways...

Regardless, this idea looks hilarious and I'm ready to ride into the chaos when this happens.

I've tried this myself long ago. It is hell. 0/10 do not recommend.

 

Black hole might also be something to consider banning for assassins, as it can be really laggy too

 

How so? It looks like it only pulls but at the same time the only thing it can pull are gazers which should die immediately anyway?

 

The animation is really laggy

 

Could a spot be kept for me (I can't go on discord for another week coz I'm on vacation)
