Who is canonically the strongest character that the player fights?

Just wondering from a lore perspective who is the strongest character we fight. Also a ranking of all characters based on canon strength would be nice.

Currently I think the highest level mob in the game is Greg, but I don't believe he is stronger than Orphion/Dark Beast/Full power Qira even.

 

Well theoretically it should be Orphion, but all you're doing is getting rid of the parasite latched to him. Does that count as actually fighting orphion?

 

Maybe colossus because all we do is “calm” it

 

It would be Orphion if he was fighting at full power, which I highly doubt he was.
So instead I think it's TCC, since he can shatter reality over a vast area if he wanted to.

 

The colossus could destroy the molten heights and the canyon on the lost (~1/3 of gavel), whereas Garaheth could destroy all of gavel, and maybe even make it to wynn. Shouldn’t Garaheth be canonically stronger than the colossus, or am I missing something?

 

The last time a colossus went haywire, I believe the only reason nothing more than Ahms was affected was because the Colossus fell into the void before it could cause any more damage.

Also can the Colossus move? If it's stuck in one place then that would kinda limit the damage it can cause.

 

I think the sky islands and the breaking point quest prove that the colossus can cause lots of destructive damage

We don’t get a lot of lore about how power ful the light and dern beast are

 

The answer depends on what exactly you meant by "fight". In any case, here are five I know who are good candidates:

1. Orphion, while technically the most powerful entity that the player has encountered in any boss fight, is not directly attacking us, and pretty much most of the health bar contributes to the Parasite lodged in him. His damaging attacks are all canonically him flailing around.
2. The Nameless Anomaly is what might be the most difficult canonical fight for the player so far, and given that it uses what we assume to be its full power and/ or it isn't holding back whatsoever, this would be the boss should you regard the question as "most intentionally powerful".
3. The Canyon Colossus is pretty damn powerful, capable of levelling an entire region down and out of existence itself. While it isn't really confirmed whether the player can canonically destroy the Colossus should they choose to, the raid merely involves a light beating on the Colossus' part. This one is the most unknown, but we know that it at full strength is most likely at least more powerful than The Nameless Anomaly purely in terms of facing against the player.
4. While Qira in her fight isn't as bad as the others, I do believe Selvut has mentioned that no player at Wynncraft's current capabilities will be able to last seconds against her should she not wear Inhibitor during a fight (Citation needed lol @Selvut283). Her precise power (again, purely when matched against the player, I know the term "power" is used loose as hell here), while unknown, is definitely known to be currently undefeatable. Take of that what you will.
5. The Eye is the one which I know the least. Madeline's quote in the forum post that started this one along with a few mentions of The Eye's power in random locations of the forums and Discord by staff members whose identities I have forgotten do hint at The Eye being canonically much more powerful than it is portrayed in-game, but I'll have to seek clarification from someone who is actually aware of the official lore (And/ or Snerp, assuming they did more than just designed its appearance)

Probanly either Qira or TCC. There's a reason Qira wears Inhibitor, and TCC can really only be calmed like someone else said.

A bit of a stretch, but maybe the Panic Zealot? Getting set to 1% of your health every 5 seconds is nothing to sneeze at.

 

Yahya in shattered minds quest is definitely up there because its level 9001 and can bring you down to 1 hp (and wiki says it has every ability i think)

Orphion and DB are the strongest things period, there's nothing above them.

Panic Zealot is not canonically the strongest by far. Panic Zealot is just an animated weapon.

Personally I'd say the Dern Beast is stronger than Orphion rn because of the current state of ROL and the power of the decay in general

 

I’m just gonna say it. Dern beast is fucking strong but what kind of name is “Dern beast”? It’s so generic and the fact that’s the name of the big bad it somewhat comical. If there any explanation I would genuinely love to hear it

 

I think the explanation is that we don't know it's name so we just call it the "Dark Beast" except Dern nstead of Dark because Wynncraft.

Similar to how Orphion is the "Light Beast"

There's also the question of whether or not the Eye is just an extension of DB or its own minion-like thing, as well as the whole "Canon vs. EO strength" discrepancy. Like, even in Fantastic Voyage the Eye is way stronger than in the dungeon.

I'd probably agree with TCC being stronger than TNA, though. Though Greg is more of a metaphysical thing than a "real creature," so IDK if it even has "strength" in the classical sense. I'm like 90% sure it only looks like a big scary skeleton to us because that's the only way our physical player can render a conceptual fight.

Qira's insanely strong, and I'm pretty sure that she could knock some sense into TCC if she wanted to, but the colossus is an unstoppable force of nature that fractures reality merely by existing too hard. In a fight to the death I'd put my money on "TCC wins, though it gets roughed up really bad, and also the entire CotL is in ruins."

The Parasite and our boys Aledar/Tasim are, all three of them, a non-factor. Garaheth might have been pretty nasty but don't forget that he's been up in the physical realm before. I'd personally put the demon at roughly the same level as.. like.. the Dark Creature that Bob killed on dead island, or maybe Solar Vanguard. Certainly no chump, but defeatable.

My personal list looking like this is why I'm so Very Much Convinced that the Eye was setting you up to kill it, and that the entirety of the SE was an op to get you to the Dern portal.

 

You could probably put Lari on the list somewhere, she beats the Parasite pretty easily and "almost kills" the player in RoL 4
