make stealing hr bannable

this is possibly my first serious forums post

why should it be banned:
- stealing violates one of the 10 commandments (bruh)
- nobody likes it (unless ur the one stealing)
- illegal in A LOT of places

some might say that the higher-ups are at fault for giving a player such a high rank. stealing is usually unforeseen and can be executed by some of the most innocuous and innocent (seemingly) players. so how is one able to tell?

let me describe a scenario in which our guild high ranked bank was stolen. (perpetrator's name is censored due to rules, i tried my best to do so )

it was the early morning, and I had to go to the dentist to patch some cavities up.
I'm waiting in the lobby, and I get notifications on discord from Emhan (my favorite wynncrafter ong).



i was shocked.
emhan had given xxxxxx access to hr (high ranked bank), which led to this.
however, before that, i had given him an indirect affirmation of trust, by lending him xtofu's divzer and my items, which were lost after xxxxxx was "hacked."
after they lied about a brain surgery, hr was robbed.

to this day, i am still devastated by the trust we put into this facade.

they are not yet banned.

we lost 30stx+ worth of items that day.

that was not the first incident. had robbed hr of 20stx+ too, and they are also still unbanned.

i hope that this thread will spark a change, although the likelihood is low and the outcome seems bleak.

I agree, there is a serious loophole in Wynncraft's rules that warrants these nasty activities and the fact that individuals can get away stealing 10s if not even 100s of stacks of Liquefied Emeralds even someones entire networth being put forward to a good cause can be undone because someone could not take humour or because you said "your mum". Wynncraft, fix THIS!

 

I mean . . . it would be difficult to enforce, and difficult to make rules about, but it would be nice if it were implemented, somehow

when emhan sends you like, 4 unmodified logs that literally say the exact same thing, that should be more than enough proof.

the general reasoning for why this hasnt been banned in the past (akaik) is that you are knowingly giving someone access to high rank and are responsible for whatever they do with that access. it’s a fair reason i guess but i just dont see why there is pushback against making it bannable, aside from difficulty implementing and enforcing rules on it i’d imagine we just all consider them assholes that ideally something could be done about ???

Stealing community stuff is not okay and should be bannable.

It's not like this would be super hard to enforce either, when a whole guild is telling the CT that person x stole everything.
I mean people are getting banned for things that seem harder to enforce.


Also time to steal everything my guild ownes without any repercussions :)

We all want to be rid of assholes but it seems very unlikely that this is ever going to be bannable. Basically for the same reason as that you can't get refunds if you lose items due to a glitch/bug. However, I don't see how making hr stealing bannable will have any unintended consequences (perhaps a bunch of other assholes lying about their hr being robbed when this isn't the case).

 

yea they don't necessarily need to return the stuff.
Just ban people so they maybe don't steal
