Archer/Hunter Every build I try to make sucks :)

I have a level 102 archer and am starting to try and make coherent builds for the harder endgame content. I rolled a really good Gale's Force (** on both air dmg and walk speed) and have tried to make several boltslinger builds around it. However, every build I try to make feels like it gets two shot by everything and doesn't do anything close to the kind of damage I see other people getting on youtube and the wynncraft discord server.

Here's what I'm using now, any and all advice welcome! I'm still pretty new to the game, do I just not understand the game mechanics well enough?

There’s three things you need to do in order to get good at making builds:

1. Just start making a bunch of builds
2. Look at builds others have made
3. Test out builds in game

Doing all three will help you start to get a feel for how to start making good builds, and what items go well together. With enough of these, you’ll also start figuring out which items are good and go well together.

However, if you’re not super into making your own builds, there’s plenty of resources available to you to find a decent one. I recommend the non-mythic builds thread or blue’s builds discord server to find something decent.

ye and u gotta know which items are used for what

eg u use conduit of spirit and order of the grook items for spell cost reduc

and for tstack u use calidade or nethers scar and stuff like that

 

the damage looks good for a non-mythic build, but it has poor mana sustain. running out of mana will result in some bad situations.

the reason why you're getting two shotted is because your ehp is based on agility, which means if your agi doesn't procc you'll be dead in a few hits.
to get over that problem, you either need a build with some defense or not to make yourself open to enemy hits, which is partly a skill issue.
i suggest trying a rainbow build setup(items like Morph-Stardust, Libra, Epilogue and so on) or make yourself familiar on what you're doing.

i'm guessing TNA is one of those endgame content you're talking about, so i'mma talk about that for a bit. if your build is restraint with non-mythic options, there's an obvious limitation to the dps you're gonna do against Greg. even mythic users that are not Divzer, Cataclysm and Idol etc won't just saw through the boss, so you gotta learn how to survive and how the boss attacks work when the fight draws longer.

people doing dps on YT & Discord probably has access to mythic weaponry, and it's a bit sad to compare damage to some mythics with non-mythics(especially with crafteds).
there's a high chance that they have tomes to boost their dps as well, so you shouldn't expect your dps to come close to those kind of standards.

for general build making, i suggest trying a bunch of stuff out. maybe start from viewing builds from others, editing a few bits and pieces, and steadily move on toward making your own. i recently came back a few months ago from a several year break, but still caught on to recent build making. it's fun.

Wavedash is a good substitute if you don't have Epilogue, or you can use Capricorn if you have 5 skill points from mastery tomes.
