Art Decayed Lari(Story idea)

I pretty sure you all know by now that I like Lari as character consider the amount of doodles I make with her. This is just random story concept I have long time ago that I decide to revisit and expand more on later. I will be explain them. This is pretty much draft concept that I feel like it would be potentially cool for the story expand on.​

Spoiler: The Story

In my personal opinion, even if Lari's character has been portrayed poorly in Realm of Light story light(mostly due to plot pacing). I still find appeal to her character concept and how it would be at its potential(you can see with my headcanon doodle and stuff). With Lari being disappeared in ROL 5 and her fate being unambiguous, this opens a lot more story ideas and direction that I think would be cool to explore in the lore. I will just be going to explain the summary of this story idea.



After the event of ROL 5 where Lari chased after Bak'al to Dern, she was confronted by the eye before she could make it there. After surviving the Eye confrontation, Lari ended up in somewhere where she trying to find a way back to Gavel. During this she was taken by one of the Beast's servants, Vi'han(his bio will be explained later) where she was meant to be taken to his Realm Library as part of his collection until Dern Beast ask him to use her as a puppet for their plan.

Lari being mind controlled was used against the player at some point when Dern start to spread into Wynn province. This later proves to be a failure when Lari was defeated by the player but not before Vi'han retrieves her back before she can be saved. With the defeat, Dern Beast finds no use for her and cast her aside which let Vi'han take her to Realm Library where she is now part of his collections.

Forward in time, the player later discovers the location of Realm Library and breaks into it to find more knowledge to get an advantage against Dern. Vi'han displeases with the presence of the player invading his library, using a large amount of his collection against the player to eliminate them including Lari as the final guardian between the player and



save Lari. Vi'han later agrees to cooperate with the player against Dern Beast and allows them full access to his library and the artifacts that he collected. Lari now freed from the control, return to Gavel to mentally and physically recover what she has been through.​

Spoiler: Biography

Decayed Lari
After surviving the Eye, she was later kidnapped by Vi'han to keep her as part of his collection until Dern Beast asks him to turn her into a puppet for their plan. Weaken and far away from light, she was forced to fight against her former friend, Wynn soldier as her mind is shattered and controlled. Ironically, she becomes more useful to Dern Beast as a puppet than to her god, Orphion. This fact is enough to break her into the mess she is now.


Vi'han
A "servant" of Dern Beast, being few surviving olms in the world even if his physical body is heavily mutated by Dern's environment. He has secret resentment toward Dern Beast for wiping out his kind and planning toward a payback while serving under it for safety.

He found Lari weaken in nowhere after surviving The Eye and decide to take advantage and plan to take her to his Realm Library, a library located somewhere in the void that hold all artifacts and records of history that he kept for preservation in case Dern Beast succeed in its plan. However, before he could take her to the library, Dern Beast interfere and suggest other plans.​

However i must say i am quite the Sa'Vahn enthusiast.

 

Sa'vahn will get his own biography later when I can think of where to put it but for now he just left as background sketch character.

Vi'han reminds me a lot of Signus from Calamity. Was there any inspiration?

 

Little bit but not the main inspiration, Vi'han character design was recycle from my old project from 2-3 years ago.
