Art Archetypes Characters Redesign(2023)

It been a long time but I finally finish the redesign of archetypes characters. After this probably gone back to normal stuff like silly doodle or 3D models if I ever get back into those. I am proud of how these turn out so far.

Spoiler: Warrior Archetypes

Paladin
A kind soldier of Ragni who regularly helps the common people of Wynn. After encountering a new recruit on her way to her journey, he decidesto help her by forcefully becoming her guardian and providing guidance as they face many threats in the province. Despite his friendly demeanor, he is capable of becoming stone cold serious for the sake of his party members.


Battle Monk
A retired warrior from an order that fell to the Corruption a long time ago. He fell into a state of depression after the incident that resulted in him becoming the only survivor of the order. He locked himself in a cabin in the middle of Detlas' suburb, until a group of troublemakers break into his home as they are escaping authorities.


Fallen
A fallen knight that wanders the Emerald Trails. Its origins were long forgotten and it is only known for its sightings from farmers of Wynn. However, after a recent set of promising recruits arrives in Wynn, the creature seems to be following something and its sightings have become much more more common.

Spoiler: Archer Archetypes

Trapper
A scout stationed in Nivla Woods who spent her time slacking off and getting drunk, while letting her wolf do most of her job. She encounters a large Ragni soldier carrying a little girl through the woods, and decides to join them out of boredom.


Boltslinger
A rude weaponsmith that is well known for his many impractical weapons and noise complaints from his neighbors. One day, he manages to catch a robber attempting to steal his items from his workshop, and decides to blackmail the robber into stealing for him with his old buddy.


Sharpshooter
A mercenary that once partnered with a strange explorer, who at one point managed to break into Twain’s mansion and acquire a relic, before the two went their separate ways. Now he is being dragged into yet another “grand” adventure by the explorer along with his familiars.

Spoiler: Assassin Archetypes

Acrobat
A homeless robber who decided to break into a weaponsmith workshop in Ragni and got caught by the owner. Afterwards, he is blackmailed and pressured into helping the owner and his partner with a heist to steal some sort of Corkian parts. It did not go well.


Trickster
A street performer with various tricks up his sleeves. She lived alongside a self-proclaimed explorer who told many tales of his adventures. One day, the explorer decides to drag him into a “grand” adventure alongside her familiars. He is pretty okay with it.

Shadestepper
An assassin who walks in the shadows and watches over Ragni silently. They are quite fond of a certain soldier of Ragni, and decided to follow him when he start his journey with a recruit from Fruma.

Spoiler: Mage Archetypes

Light Bender
A Fruma recruit arrived alongside Aledar and Tasim. After finally arriving in Ragni after an unexpected stop, she timidly starts assisting the common people in the Wynn province until a large soldier came to offer his aid and assist her on the journey.


Riftwalker
A mysterious old man who claims to have mistakenly joined a group of troublemakers on his way to get some medicine. Despite his age and being senility, he holds many secrets and knowledge about the world. If he doesn't fall asleep first, that is.


Arcanist
A mage that once lived in Ragni, she decided to move to Elkurn and study magic in peace. Until one day, she meets her friends who asked her to join them in a "grand adventure". She rejects the offer at first, but changes her mind later and joins them out of spite.

Spoiler: Shaman Archetypes

Summoner
A wood carpenter with a hobby of experimenting with enhancing his wood creation with magic. He is usually working with a Ragni weaponsmith, and decides to plan a heist to steal some imported Corkian parts for their next project.


Ritualist
An explorer who once ventured into the Dernal Jungle (illegally). He acquired a mysterious mask that at some point broke into 3 fragments and assimilated with his personality. After a long break to research the relics he uncover, he decides to get back into an adventure along with his friends.


Acolyte
A doctor who is also a cultist of the Church Of The Root. He decides to join a Ragni soldier and other adventurers’ journey after healing them, seeing their journey as an opportunity to get a closer look into the Corruption.

Probably you will see these guys pop up in my sketch then and there with their character being expand and show interaction but for now that all.​

 

Hey Yo Hi There @Redwaller just wanted to suddenly ask out of the blue here no particular reason what would be the commission price if someone were to theoretically ask you to make, let’s say, like, uhhhhh fourteen to fifteen Minecraft skins? I mean it’s not gonna happen just curious purely theoretical of course haha

eeeeeeey a revamp. you did this before right? i remember

warrior: paladin idc but battle monk looks so cool now! thats a great improvement. and fallen is fallen as always.

archer: i like how trapper is so drunk and also sharpshooter looks like a wild western "bow-slinger" lol i love it.

assassin: YOO THANK FOR ACROBAT REDESIGN IS GOOD. also i like last times shadestepper better, this times boots are... a little big.

mage: idk but arcanist looks much nicer now

shaman: lol summoner funny, i like this ones acolyte and the detail of it but last times acolyte felt much cooler idk

This is so sad

 

I love how all the class archetypes are designed totally differently from eachother, they all feel like they have a different purpose and do different things. I especially love the designs for Fallen, Shadestepper and all the shaman archetypes.
