Is there a good strategy for getting Violet Shift?

Just wondering if there was a faster way than running around lake gylia killing wierds that are scattered everywhere

 

I'm pretty sure it also can be found in chests near Gylia.

 

Mob drops

 

The weirds tend to be in their own clusters around certain areas of lake gylia. Just stay around these areas and they'll typically respawn fast enough to kill at an effective rate. Since it's a fabled drop, using loot bonus and even loot quality armor may help with the time it takes to get a drop from the weirds.

I would recommend using totems, but since you don't have a rank I'm assuming that isn't an option here. I also wouldn't recommend lootrunning/opening loot chests for it because it's unknown/unconfirmed if this specific mob drop item can even spawn in chests.
