Unable to access store

I'm a new player, and it won't let me acces the store to get the free creates and chicken pet. When I try putting in my Minecraft username, it just goes back to the login page. Is this normal?

Literally 5 minutes after making this post I have access to the store now, so we're good

Always make sure there are no typos in your name. If it's spelled correctly but it still doesn't work, you should try another browser.
