Hi!

I did some shenaniganery (not specifying here incase i'm not allowed) and figured out the syntax behind Wynnscript.

I wish to disclose what I found in a forum post / video as it's quite interesting, but I don't know if I'm allowed to. I tried messaging Zeer ingame but he didn't respond - I assume he was busy or AFK.

Does anyone know if I'm allowed or not?

It's allowed if you ask me, if you mess around w/ the code, you'll just break your own wynntils

Or you could look around, and possibly fix some bugs in the mod

Wynnscript is the programming language behind Wynncraft I believe, its used by CT to make content

Its unrelated to Wynntils, Wynntils has to be in a JVM language, and I don’t think Wynnscript powers Wynntils

a lot of people have reached out to me about this!

I had a convo with Hams - the CT knows about my limited knowledge.

i should also mention that I have no guarantees my info is accurate with how limited it is. If I get permission to post, the final thread/vidro will be 50% information 50% guesswork.

Since it’s sensitice knowledge, I don’t want to tel anyone except CT until further notice, sorry

Literally what harm could knowing the syntax of Wynnscript do? It's not like you can actually use the compiler/interpreter or edit the code used in quests.

Knowing the syntax of Wynnscript is like being able to speak French, except French people aren't real, so French may as well be gibberish because no one can understand it.

I can now say that I am allowed.

Yeah, but there's also more than just syntax.
We already know syntactically Wynnscript is like Javascript, but what I know is more specifics.
Including how functions work, how events work, etc.
I can't explain it best in a short reply lol
