Corrupted Charon 15k+ damage

i was like almost finished with a full corrupted dungeon run and i was fighting corrupted charon and i just suddenly got instakilled?? i was at around 14k-15k health with my max health being 15k. i have absolutely no idea what happened all i know is i just suddenly dropped from about full health to 0 in a single hit

like is this supposed to happen or is it normal?? i have like -200 air defense if that makes a difference but it wasnt a chain of hits that killed me, it was a single blow that did around 15k damage

like this happens every time i fight this boss it just 1 taps me at some point during the fight and i have no idea if it's normal or not but i have good gear and it just annihilates me anyway

 

Corrupted Charon has some kind of attack when it says that your soul is stolen or extracted, and you will have to find it somewhere in the arena and right-click it. If I remember it correctly, it will look like your soul point, and you'll have ~5 seconds to find it. Failing to do it will damage you heavily, and I was killed once or twice too, before realizing what I have to do.

Edit: checked wiki, and this attack is signified by this dialogue:
"Fetch me their soul, fuel my eternal rage!"
And you'll have 6 seconds to find and right-click on it.
