    If you own a rank, you'll be able to have multiple Player Housing islands! You can access them in the housing hot air balloon menu.

    One of the most requested features ever is finally here!
    If your guild is level 10 or higher, you can now build a headquarters for it on a MUCH bigger plot than regular housing!

    Guild Housings are accessible to all members of that particular guild at all times. With the improved permission system, you can let specific members build or access their own designated areas and more.

    Housing locations for your Guild Island will be obtainable as Seasonal Rewards.

    We've removed the current housing build limit (previously a HERO perk). From now on, every player can build on the entirety of their island with no limits! This even includes the Guild Housing island, which is huge.

    You guys have told us it was an annoying limitation that often made islands uglier and less usable, and we agree. HERO players will receive other perks to make up for this.

    Regions allow you to specify configurations for a specific location of your island. Custom permissions, island rules, entering and leaving messages, and restricted chat areas are possible within a region, allowing players to explore the potential of housing creating PvP arenas, meeting rooms, and more!

    We've implemented various tools to help you build. With them, you can create regions or summon water/lava (RIP stained glass' popularity). If you have a HERO rank or higher, you can use tools such as the Blueprint tool and the Replication tool to speed up your building process!

    The toolbelt also allows for quick items refill while building: while enabled (configurable through the block bank menu) whenever you run out of the block you are placing, if available in your inventory or banks, it will be automatically refilled so you can keep building.

    Alongside it, you can now access your block bank and island settings while in edit mode.

    The Block Bank is now divided into two sections: Personal Storage and Island Storage. Blocks in your Personal Storage are yours only and can be used on any island, while blocks in the Island Storage are linked to that particular island and can be used by anyone with building permission.

    This change means it is now possible for players to steal blocks. Be careful to who you give build permission!

    We’re adding a new perk to the store: The Silverbull Subscription!

    The Silverbull Subscription is designed as an add-on to existing ranks, and not a rank replacement by itself.
    By subscribing, you can expect these perks:
    • Guild Boosts (They work similarly to Discord's server boost feature and unlock Guild Housing perks. When a Guild is boosted, EVERY member gains access to the Guild Housing perks even if they do not have a rank. Regular Player Housing perks are still unlockable with ranks and remain unchanged.)
    • Monthly Share (which can be exchanged for store items like bombs, crates, subscriptions or to boost your guild even more)
    • Reduced Market Tax
    • Better Cosmetic Scrapping
    • Double Event Rewards
    • Double Rank Rewards
    • Hide Armour
    • Access to HERO Beta
    Silverbull Shares can be bought directly from the store and can be traded on the market.

    We know some of you will have questions, so here’s more info about the subscription and shares:
    Ranks are the most popular category in our store. Unfortunately, they have a flaw: They're good in the short term, but over time become less and less popular. Since they're permanent, players only need to purchase them until they're satisfied with their rank and then never think about it again. That's of course totally fine, anybody who spends money on Wynncraft, even just a few bucks, helps tremendously and we're grateful for that. Only 1% of players spend money on Wynncraft, so even purchasing the cheapest rank helps way more than y'all might think.

    However, Wynncraft is a live service game that requires the upkeep of servers. We must continuously pay to keep things running, without mentioning the additional cost of developing new features and content. In fact, since 2020 our hosting has just about tripled in cost as we've brought in new service providers and better servers to help improve the game experience.

    We tried with 1.20 to introduce a new subscription-based rank, but you guys told us you'd rather have it as a full-priced permanent rank instead. This is what we ended up doing, but it really only delayed the problem. We're now starting to have to rely more and more on new players purchasing ranks rather than our existing long-term players. This is not a great long-term strategy, especially for an MMORPG.

    So, with all that in mind, a subscription system is a way for us to reduce our dependence on new players and bring a stable income from our established player base that mimics the everyday needs of running a live game business. We hope that helps explain why we're doing this.

    TL;DR
    • Ranks are our main source of revenue and are one-time purchases
    • Over time, we will become more and more reliant on new players rather than our established players
    • Our operating cost is constant (and increasing) while revenues from ranks are not
    There are a few reasons for this.

    The first one is to get rid of the IRL trading black market. For those who don’t know, it’s when a player tries to sell in-game items or currency for real-life money. This is a problem every game with an open economy suffers from and it is extremely hard to get rid of without just preventing free trade (we don't want to do that). Even though our moderation team has stopped many of those trades, they can’t stop them all, as most are done behind the scenes without their knowledge.

    It only takes a simple search on MCMarket to find a lot of those, and that’s only the ones who aren’t afraid to do it in public. Most of the time, these trades are done in secret.

    The only way to truly get rid of this problem, and something many other games have successfully done, is to offer the service ourselves. Some players will always be ready to take risks and something illegal will not stop them. By doing this, we offer a safer method that supports the game itself, instead of a random middle-man who is financially incentivized to find dupes/bugs and keep them secret.

    This is not that unusual in the MMO space. World of Warcraft, Runescape (both RS3 and Old School), Dofus, and even Hypixel to name a few have implemented a system like this to fix this problem. Jagex, the creators of Runescape, stated that introducing this feature to their game reduced the amount of real-world trading by 61%, and that the number of coins transferred by IRL trading was down by 81%. We expect something similar for Wynncraft.

    Lastly, this will allow players who cannot pay for things on the store to indirectly support the game and receive perks just by playing. It’s a win/win for everyone.

    TL;DR
    • It gets rid of (or severely reduces) a shady IRL black market, which has already been happening since forever but most people don’t know of its existence
    • Rather than bringing money to someone financially incentivized to find dupes and not report them, it brings it to the game itself and allows us to use it for development, servers, etc.
    • It's an effective method tried and true by other games and MMOs
    • It allows players who cannot afford or pay for perks to get them by simply playing the game
    Since no emeralds are being created, this is unlikely to inflate or negatively affect the economy in a noticeable way. Other games that introduced a similar feature have had no negative effect on their economy.

    It’s also something that’s already been happening behind the scenes for a long time, it was just out of sight from most.

    We've fixed a lot of bugs this update! But nonetheless, some may remain. Make sure to report any bugs you find here! It helps us a lot.
    • Increased the item pick-up range
    • Reworked the music & Jukebox system. You can now see more information about songs, including the composer's username.
    • Added a new Guild Arena for the town of Nemract (and its surrounding territories)
    • Fixed a bug where some players weren't able to accept recruitment invites
    • You can no longer visit houses while combat tagged
    • Added a Seaskipper location for Isles of Fiction
    • Added a failsafe so Doubiss doesn't duplicate in Crop Failure (stage 4)
    • Moved the sign to go back to Misadventure on the Sea so it's more visible
    • Moved the note away from the pipe in the airship for Hidden City
    • Added a failsafe to make sure the geyser is activated in Hero of Gavel if you have the item needed and you can talk to the npc to finish the quest
    • Added a failsafe for stage 5 of Redbeards Booty, if you were stuck on the island, you will be able to exit it now, just build the ship and leave it. The ship will stay there and not despawn instantly either now

    • Added a failsafe at the cauldron in Aldorei's Secret Part 1
    • Fixed a bug in The Order of the Grook that caused the cow to be able to be spawned multiple times
    • Added a failsafe so you don't need the sceptre from the Nesaak bank every time you enter the altar in Time Valley to go to past Nesaak in Fate of the Fallen
    • Added a failsafe in Order of the Grook, the ghost guide will lead you properly to the staircase room if you disconnected before it could guide you there after the second class
    • Fixed a bug where the boat at Mage Island wouldn't always spawn out of the water
    • Added a failsafe so the rewards are properly given when finishing the quest Ultimate Weapon
    • Added a failsafe to be able to properly enter the school in Order of the Grook if you missed a step
    • Added a failsafe in Cowfusion in case you didn't get the right stage elevation before entering the machine at the end
    • Fixed a bug where people could not open the Lab Entrance for Cowfusion or interact with the lever even if they were at the right stage
    • Fixed an issue with the tempo of the last cutscene in Hero of Gavel and the mysterious key
    • Fixed a bug in Acquiring Credentials that would get you stuck killing pirates without progressing, now the quest should work as intended
    • Added a failsafe at the black market in Acquiring Credentials, it should reset properly when entering the area again if you had to leave before finishing the quest
    • Added a failsafe for the stage 2 of Finding the Light, the inscription should appear more reliably
    • Added a failsafe in Forbidden Prison, if you lost the key from the warden office, you can get it back from there to access the control room
    • Failsafe for The Feathers Fly Part 2, if you were missing the invitation letter but did the proper steps to get it, you should be able to get one back
    • Fixed an issue with the Chasm Crawler in the Hero of Gavel quest
    • Removed the Reset Scroll Merchant from the cutscene in Recover the Past
    • Added a failsafe in Reclaiming the House if you exited the fort before the finish stage, you should be able to get back there to finish the quest
    • Added a failsafe in Fantastic Voyage, if you entered the realm but did not get the right stage update and Relend did not spawn after teleporting there, it should work as intended now, go back to Jofash to continue the quest
    • Fixed a bug where the player could get the stage but not the Old Stew in Fantastic Voyage
    • Added a failsafe if you already had the stage to bring the Old Stew to Relend, talk to the cooking pot to get a new Old Stew and then Relend again to fix it
    • Added a failsafe if you misplaced the Map during a specific stage in Fantastic Voyage
    • Fixed some chests locations
    • Fixed Anast fallback dialogue
    • Fixed an issue with Envoy Part 2 where Maxie would not spawn when exiting the pipe
    • Added a failsafe in Meaningful Holiday when you talk to Reshad after the cutscene with Nick, he will direct you to the portal to continue the quest
    • Added coordinates to stage 3 of Recover the Past
    • Added a failsafe in Lazarus Pit stage 7, if you completed all the tasks but couldn't open the door to the crypt, go back and click on it to open it, it should work properly now
    • Fixed an issue with Lazarus Pit, if Burtur did not spawn properly or it did not properly trigger what you were doing in Gelibord, it should now
    • Added a failsafe so players can go back inside the crypt in Lazarus Pit if they have the right stage
    • Fixed a bug in The Nameless Anomaly where a quest beacon wouldn't disappear
    • Fixed a typo in the title of A Journey Further
    • Added a failsafe in DnD Part 3, if you were missing the letter to start the quest, you can just go talk to Korzim (the quest starter) and you should get it back
    • Added a failsafe in DnD Part 4, if you did not go through the portal after the cutscene, going to the colosseum will bring you back to that cutscene to open the portal if you are at the right stage in the quest
    • Added failsafes if you couldn't pick the ingredients in Enter The Dojo
    • Fixed a typo in Aldorei Part 2
    • Added failsafes to the Star Thief ending and some QoL improvements
    • Added failsafes to stage 1 and 2 of Taproot
    • Added a failsafe in Hunters Calling, if you did not have the right stage to finish the quest even though you went through all the steps, going back to the entity should let finish the quest.
    • Added the coordinates for Axelus at Stage 7 of From the Mountains in case you disconnected and did not know where to go anymore
    • Removed a "Quest Book Updated" message in From the Mountains
    • Added failsafes in Aldorei Part 2 during the investigation in Aldorei Town so it sets you on the right path to continue the quest if you were stuck there
    • Added some dialogues and QoL failsafes in All roads to peace
    • Added a failsafe at the last stage of WynnExcavation Site D so you don't teleport before speaking to the King. If you already did leave, go see the King of Ragni in his castle to go back to this area and finish the quest
    • Added more failsafes for the Studying the Corrupt cutscene
    • Added a failsafe if you are stuck at the stage "Discover your own past" in Recover the Past, doing /class should trigger the last cutscene again
