What do I download before playing this game?

I'm new to this game and I wanted to know if I have to download any mods or texture packs for QOL.
I used to play Hypixel Skyblock (flame war warning) and Skyblock needs a ton of mods for it to be playable so I think it might be the same for Wynncraft. Send links, thanks!

 

There may be others in the comments that disagree with me, but my opinion is that Wynncraft is in a pretty good state where QoL mods and special texture packs aren't really needed. There are certainly some popular modpacks which others might recommend here but they're in no way mandatory IMO, just additionally helpful if you want them.

You don't need anything. The resourcepack downloads automatically as long as you have it enabled (or select yes if set to be on prompt)

 

No mods? So just the texture pack?

 

Wynncraft is completely vanilla!

I've played both games without mods and they're both fine.

 

if you were to get mods, get wynntills. The 1.12.2 version or the 1.19.3 version both work well and in my opinion, they enhance the game rather well. (1.19.3) a bit better.
I'd also assume that it's your first playthrough so Voices of Wynn could also enhance the quest experience.
mods like phosphor/sodium/lithium will also make the game run smoother.
and distant horizons mod lets you see the wide world of wynn from far away. It lets you appreciate the beautiful map that the builders created and I definitely recommend downloading it.

used by admins too :p but yea, you *don't* need any mods at all, its completely something optional, but if you are interested, have a look at the pack:

 

Just a suggestion, but I would say that you don't download any Wynncraft-related mods if it's your first time playing

Gives you the original experience that way
