    Outside of a few glaring things, most of what Wynn could use now is that sort of "major-update tier" stuff. Though on a big big design level I'd say that the game still needs to fill out a bit before it hits its next content stretch? Side ideas are good before we go to Fruma. Start planting the seeds of the Post-War-Of-the-Realms chapters and all.

    If the Cosmic angle's the next route, start giving it consequences now. If there's something else on the horizon, start developing it now. ??? is a good start, the people demand just a tiny bit more. We've known about Dern since pregavel and it's ruined nothing. If CT fails to place the gun on the mantlepiece now then they'll have to teleport it in during Act 3 and that's just bad storytelling.

    Moving from story to mechanics, I'm sorry but the Archetypes need to be fixed before we go anywhere. 2.0 is still functionally in open beta. There is a reason most MMORPGs don't go so insanely wild with synergies in the talent tree and this is why - balancing is now a nightmare. Should the Archetypes have been mutually exclusive then players would have still has 15 ability playstyle choices and also the entire item system -- I'm going on a tangent here. I've gone on it before. Archetype synergy was a mistake, moving on.

    Assassin is still borked, I dunno what's going on with Archer, Paladin is too passive and meaty, Arcanist is a lie, etc etc. Shaman's like the only class that I think's in a good place RN but I don't even play Shaman so who knows. Get an entire team on this, it's a gaping wound in the game and is seriously impacting the daily experience.

    Remove soulpoints, obviously, replace them with an item durability that goes down on death if you must. More Boss Altars. Worry not about level range or Altars bumping up against one another, nobody will care if there are two altars both best taken at level 37.

    More things like that loot minidungeon in Emerald trail. CT is sitting on a landmine of content that they've not extended throughout the game yet. Bring Time Troubles up to endgame, have the Mysterious Merchant augment the Dungeon Shops.

    The real PVP arena thing I wrote in the "things that would be cool with Fruma" thread doesn't have to come with Fruma. People are running underground Fight Clubs out of their housing. Even just a Nether-like zone of the RoL or something. Somewhere in the SE Void. I dunno. We need real PVP zones.

    Oh, yeah, a fast-travel between the SE and Ahms void. No-Brainer.

    Someone already mentioned fix the loot systems. I'm fine with lootrunning being the most efficient (you do sell your soul after all) but I'm not fine with it being an order of magnitude more efficient. I'm pretty sure this is because if a method of Mythic grinding even half as efficient as lr came about but was actually fun, nobody would ever lr again. This raises concerns.

    I always loved how the Heliolux got taken out of the game but then Orphion needed dudes again so now there are unexplained light sprites acting as merchants and other things and whatnot. The Heliolux make a really nice thematic parallel to ??? of AHC. This is more a personal opinion thing than an objectivish criticism, though.

    I would like to see potion stacks reworked, they’re one of the more poorly implemented features in recent times (and it was in beta during a content drought so barely anyone tested it to give feedback) and just straight up make HP potions untradable.
    The fact that your only option is to delete the potions once they’re in the stack is kinda just reverse-QoL honestly.
    I would like to be able to freely move potions in and out of the stack instead.

    (And soul point removal, duh, I always want to see that).

    yes just an area somewhere where you can enter and fight people for fun
    yeah i dont want to play fruma if it means playing with the broken system that is current archetypes
    dont replace them just remove them let the player run around and be reckless losing progress in the dungeon and having to walk back is bad enough

    why tho for tna/tcc? once your at se you have no reason to go back to skyislands

    yeah this needs a fix im sick of this and more mythics are needed in circulation

    Just... the first quest. It's exactly the same as before. Personally I very much dislike it (might be biased because I had to take bad ending because of NPC despawning), but I'm totally fine with it if other people have different opinions.

    I think this is a fairly big issue, a lot of players join, and they play for a bit, and then leave. I can't think of any myself, but there was a point in a thread that soul points can put new players off because they could die a lot. May I ask what sort of things did you start noticing that could be "quit moments for new players"? I'm curious

    this is funny cuz it shows you haven't been around for long. The first part of the Quest was reworked just and Update earlier than the second part. It's basically just as new. Personally I have no issue with Aldorei I except that it was bugged on 2 of my classes from May 2021 till October 2022 but that happens. Most people actually dislike the lore in Aldorei II afaik but idk why.

    The biggest ones are stuff like quest NPCs not appearing, dialogue disappearing (that may be a Wynntils bug), and cutscenes not triggering or getting stuck. For QoL stuff, the sneak key being the skip dialogue key (The tutorial has parkour, where someone is talking to you. If you don't know to be listening, you will probably accidentally skip it), the lack of clear communication in some quests, and especially the lack of explanation about the identification system and how IDs work.

    EDIT: I can't believe I forgot incorrect teleports (like how 3/4 of my raid group got teleported to an empty superflat world instead of the Canyon Colossus boss fight - which the 1 person managed to solo and then broke again and didn't teleport us out) and how soul points are not warned about, or explained at all really until it's too late. Honestly just the fact that they exist merits their inclusion.

    This is funny cuz my forum account is older than the SE changelog. I just did it on my Mage; it's the same as when I did it on my Assassin around the same time that 1.19 dropped. Aldorei 1 is buggy and it feels like you're only doing things because "quest book says so", not because an NPC actually gives you helpful information. Take, for example, the "enchanted" bucket (old bucket for enchanted water). Why do I need a bucket? You find out after you get it: to water the plant. Why are you watering the plant? You find out after you do it: to reach the gardens. Why do you need to access the gardens? You find out after you do it: to find out that someone made a potion. Why do you care? Uhhh... the apothecary is a crime scene now?

    I get your point however Aldorei I was reworked with 1.20 entirely so it 100% wasn't the same if you did it on your Assassin around the time that 1.19 dropped cuz it had no similarities back then.

    To be fair, most of that is an issue thats throughout the world, but they would need to be fixed at a higher priority for early game, bugs and NPCs not working properly kinda becomes second nature later on in the game :grimacing:

    Or more drops. Maybe some mini bosses in little arenas carved oud of mountainsides. Something similar to the mini bosses through the portal in Journey beyond. Easier to access than a boss altar but with lowered expectations; hit it too often and you might only get an emerald or two.

    Yeah. It just really, really looks bad for a new player. I tried to get a friend to try it and those factors are largely what drove him away. I intend to do a proper write-up of that at some point after my suffering ends the semester is over.
