Thoughts, ideas, hopes and expectations for the upcoming Fruma update

This is a direct copy paste of my reply on the What would you add to the Fruma Update Forum Thread. My list ended up longer and more detailed than expected so I decided to dedicate an entire Thread to it.


These are my thoughs for now, I might bring them into an order later and add more:
-fruma entry quest
-around 3 new xp grind spots
-121 max level
-120 materials, trees thinner than dernic so they aren't as spread apart (please more creative names than dernic)
-craftings to range from 100-109 for sky 110-119 for dernic and 120-121 for new mats
-secrets discoveries + ultimate discoveries
-new Quests and a main Quest line about the monarchy
-new Dungeon unlocked by the Quest line around half way through
-new Raid unlocked at the end of the Quest line which takes place inside the fruman castle with the Queen as endboss (potentially similar legendary tome management as NOL and tcc. As in tna gets slaying III and dungeon III and new one gets slaying III and gathering III. Also new armour tomes)
-new endgame mythics
-mythics and Raid potentially release a few months after initial release to let people get to level for the raid and just like play with non mythic stuff before getting the mythics
-Sohso content, maybe new kind of ??? because cosmic will unlikely be usable in 120 areas so a replacement for that
-Li and Hive items hopefully not get useless. Maybe new Li bosses for higher level rewards and a toa/hive like quest
-potentially morph weapons level 116 or smth so morph can be endgame viable again. Alternatively a morph tome to fill the last empty tome slot (should be usefull for non morph users too) (I don't like morph but it has a purpose to full fill)
-a Quest where we see how recruits are sent out with the caravan driver
-would be funny if no guild territories cuz "there is no war inside the fruman walls" but we want territory boosts for high level grindpots and 120 profs
-further ability points aswell as maybe new abilities
-skill point continueing so we get 2 sp per level again
-soul points could keep increasing past 75 since why not
-new housing balloon locations and maybe new housing blocks bought with the new materials
-generally continue old schemes so fruma doesn't feels like part of the whole game and not like additional endgame content after 100 technically being cap in some way like. (Basically make Item power increase reasonably further and not have it basically not move forward after 100. 120 content at level 100 should be as hard as level 100 content at level 80 (for example Qira hive at level)
-show regions seen in Recover the Past. The cutscenes shouldn't feel like they are basically unrelated.
-Have good new lore
-background information on player
-level 100-120 gathering posts
-level 115 gatherin tools
-new endgame slaying posts
-Clock mistery
-15th Class slot
-new endgame Boss altars @Nukewarmachine
-new world events @Earthbrine
-maybe a fast-travel from like the ragni castle gate to a fitting end spot in fruma for usefull fast-travel @Dracium_Z


Please give me your thoughts on this aswell. If I like the ideas I will add them to the list

Agreed, but hopefully rebuilt slightly :p

I agree on all points, they're valid, I just want a fair bit of quests, not like SE which had very few, since Fruma has quite the size. Maybe quests showing more how the corkians escaped etc.

I think grinding spots, but also just Quests etc. is important to get right, cuz this is the largest lvl cap increase since the Gavel expansion, and lets just say it was quite hard to get to lvl 100 / 101 right away since many of the endgame quests we have now didnt exist in the early days of Gavel.

I don't like morph either. I think they should do nothing and let the set die.

I don't think ability points will happen right away. probably skill points tho, more levels more power.

 

a few suggestions:
- corrupted fallen factory, added between 2.1 and 2.2 (level 102, 4 tol runes to enter)
- a way to do lower-level raids and boss altars scaled to your current level with an optional solo mode/toggle for raid bosses
- another tol rune altar in fruma
- some new boss altars
- tier 13 tools (level 115 prof req)

 

I already listed the tools, Corrupted FF feels a little to general to include in Fruma update specifically (Clock mistery is kinda just meme included) but I agree in general Corrupted FF would be nice although level 90 normal and 102 corrupted version seems like a slightly to little gap imo so idk.
Boss Altars is a simple yes, will include

 

Also new world events.

 

I reckon they'll be some sort of fountain of youth related to the monarchy since we know all the provinces have one.

 

or maybe a tea shop. please my guild needs free advertisement we are poor
(maybe some guild references/easter eggs)

 

could be interesting but idk. There was never a mention of a third kind of fountain and I don't feel like it would be necessary to feel complete.
