What does poison ticks mean?

In wynnbuilder, it shows your poison in “ticks” does this mean the amount of damage per poison hit?

So the way poison operates is that it totals all the poison values from all your gear, weapons, accessories, consumables, whatever. From there it divides that number by 3 to spread that damage out across the next 3 seconds dealing 1/3rd of that damage every second
So that "poison tick" damage is the dps calculated from that 1/3rd that youll see in the funny purple numbers
