Ranking Movement Spells

    Movement spells are a big part of the spell cycle. I will be ranking all movement spells which note: Things like Blink & Teleport will be seperate, escape & grappling hook too.

    C TIER
    Blink: Blink is alright, I just find it somewhat annoying. While it can be somewhat handy if you are travelling in a large open area. But I find it annoying when you wanna just go to a certain area and then you overshoot it and then fall off a cliff.

    Dash (No Vanish): Now dash, is alright. It's limited range kinda sucks but what I like about it is it's ability to go in any direction and it's easy. It's not the worst but without vanish its <<<<

    Charge: Charge is alright. Before I said it was in D tier but with more thought (and some new knowledge required) I've decided to put it up to C. I still dislike it ONLY because you can't go up. Which ruins it for me. But apart from that it's alright.

    B TIER
    Teleport:
    Teleport is a decent movement spell, especially now you can go straight up which was a problem before because it's directions were limited. It has good range and stuff it's pretty good. Nothing much to say.

    Grappling Hook: Grappling hook can be SOOO much fun; at first. My main dislike of it is the fact it's range isn't the best and when it comes to going on longer travels it's harder. You have to be in an area with a lot more trees and stuff. You cant really use it on the floor and sometimes u end up getting stuck. But it's so much fun and it's way easier to hop up on things.

    Acolyte Haul: Now this is good, decent, but the teleport part of it is what I dislike. I'll explain later but it ruins the flow of haul for me.

    Haul: Haul does have it's downsides, with it's speed and the fact you need to use two spells, I normally play ritualist and when I wanna travel I use the mask of the fanatic because it's actually cheaper mana-wise. Though once you get a good mana regen and mana cost it's super fun. It has a really nice flow and it's a fun combo. You never really end up getting depleted of mana.

    A TIER

    Vanish: Vanish is a really good spell. It's like dash which I already think is decent due to it's direction capabilities. But when you have vanish it's so fun. It's way easier to escape enemies and hide better. And with shadow travel you get to go SPEEEEEEEEEEED. Which I love :).

    Escape: I don't know if this is well an unpopular opinion. But I find it really good. The fact you get to have constant speed. And it actually has good range. The only downside is you have to turn around but it's not that hard. You get to go up if you want and yeah.

    You can go forward and completely halt your forward momentum by looking down, also you can cast it multiple times while airborne, and it is the easiest one to use as you can just hold RMB, without the desorientation Teleport might give you

    this is extremely cursed, hual in A and charge in D. Charge is easily one of the best movement spells and is made even better with weapons like idol being so fun because of it.

    I have..... Lol. I just like haul for some reason, just it has a nice rhythm.

    Also my problem with charge was nothing with it's range, it's about the fact it can't go up, only straight. The shifting is actually pretty useful ty for telling me that. Though I still sorta dislike it compared to like teleport or escape or dash.

    I'm not counting lacerate as those aren't the signature movement spells, I'm mainly talking about the 2nd spell and the variations of it. But are there any variations I've missed?

    Haul is...okay for combat (it's not terrible but it's not great either). That is until you do TNA without Blood Connection, specifically the Watched phase. Then it becomes very apparent why Haul is trash. I like Haul, I just wish it was faster

    i haven't done tna yet as shaman, tho i'm ranking this more as transport then combat.

    I understand that every tierlist is subjective, but, this is just wrong on MANY levels. Haul A?!?! Easily one of the worst movement spells as you have to cast another initial spell to use it. Charge D?!?!?? Charge is easily high B pushing A tier, it's such a fundamental movement ability for so many players. Anyways, other than those 2, not a bad list.

    Lol, thanks. Idk why but I just enjoy haul for some reason. I do understand the two spells which can make it annoying if you don't have enough mana but when I've played it I really found it fun.

    Idk why everyone loves charge, it's kinda bad compared to some others. It only is good for going forward and one of the things I like to do is use movement spells to go up so that's why I don't like it.

    Me when on warrior I only use charge and whirlwind (do rocket jump and whirlwind count as technically movement spells?)

    Also the thing about haul is that it would be fine if not that the haul distance throws you outside of your totem radius. If your totem has any healing(acolyte or summoner), casting haul comes at a cost. I’d say it doesn’t deserve to be that high up if it punishes two of the three archetypes

    As a warrior main, i cannot fathom why charge is c tier or even b tier. I understand you haven't played it endgame and probably haven't even had experience with aerodynamics depending on what tree you went, but after you get to know it well, charge is easily the smoothest and I would argue best movement spell.

    It's very similar to mage in 1.20, just smoother and more maneuverable.
    And while it's vertical isn't necessarily ideal, you don't need it as there aren't many purely vertical walls.

    You can also get around 6-12 blocks vertical by draining your mana bar depending on how much mana you have

    About going up I would like to add that 2.0 warrior got Whirlwind
    Charge with Aerodynamics and a really base level of skill of Whirlwind Surfing makes you completely impossible to hit
    Also Charge without Aerodynamics is as fast as Mage teleport
    We don't talk about idol
    I respect ur opinion but seeing Charge in C hurts a bit :P
