SPOILER what are creepers?

as the title said, is there any sort of lore behind creepers? Cause the only places they can be seen are in Lost sanc, RoL and creeper hideout and like, theres literally no mention of them anywhere else (unless there is in the new quests, Idk I havent played the new quests)

The lore is that they are like a myth with there being very little knowledge about them, that’s why they don’t show up much

 

The lore reason behind creepers seldom appearing is that they're considered a cryptid in the Wynn province (Think bigfoot or loch ness monster). They Used to be more populous until Garoth nearly exterminated them all; keeping what remains of their numbers in the Lost Sanctuary.

Another reason they do not show up as often is the same reason the Ender Dragon is mentioned in passing. Wynncraft may be 'The Minecraft MMORPG', but it tries to distinguish itself from the main game as much as possible. Minecraft is just a medium that the Wynncraft experience chooses to express itself through. Creepers don't need to exist in Wynncraft, but I enjoy that they do even if they don't perfectly fit thematically.

 

They also appear in the Realm of Light, so the Creepers in Wynn could have a connection those, or they could just be entirely separate creatures that just so happened to look and act the same way in a coincidence.

 

When is this??

 

Never. The End or anything relating to it is never mentioned, apart from Chorus Fruit which has its name kept from the base game

Lumia added creepers to RoL because they felt like it. Creepers dont really have any lore

 

There's like two quests dedicated to creepers...I think they have some lore.

 

I’ve always seen creepers as like the Wynn equivalent of Bigfoot: some kind of cryptid most people haven’t seen with a disputed existence.

Oh, that’s a shame. I feel like they have a lot of potential and could be expanded upon rather than being removed.

If that's the issue, they could just get a different name

 

A minecraft mob as an ingame unique species that has had an entire quest around it with a location you later return to, and setup for them to be important or relevant somewhere down the line. No need to throw that aside because you don't see a direct use for it.

 

Srry guys we removed the corruption and nivla forest because they used minecraft mobs (spiders and zombies!!!!!!!!!!)

 

Hasn't Kelight mentioning the ender dragon been ingame for years? unless 2.0 removes that and i didnt notice

 

It was changed to "A Dragon" instead of "The Ender Dragon" at some point
