2022 mob vote

It's that time of the year again!

i love it when people argue about which mob should make it into minecraft and cry when their choice doesn't make it

Here are the options this year:

Spoiler: Sniffer

It's a dinosaur that digs up new seeds for you
It may not sound like much but it's probably the most impactful of the 3 options in terms of content since it seems to come with not only new plants, but new seeds too. And new seeds might mean new crops. Which we have needed for a long time. And no, beetroots don't count.

Spoiler: Rascal

This weird cave creature will play hide and seek with you whenever you find one. Find it three times and you get an enchanted item.
I mean, if you like mining, I guess it's useful, but I bet it's decently rare and has lame rewards like iron pickaxes with efficiency 1
Also it only spawns under Y=0 which is annoying

Spoiler: Tuff Golem

By far the least useful one, this golem will pick up items and walk around with them. It seems to be a display thing, either that or it's just a less useful Allay. I like the design though. Also, if you include a wool block in its creation, you can customise its cloak which is neat.

Of the three, I'm personally voting Sniffer. It seems the most useful of the three and I like plants
However, I feel like all 3 of these mobs have little impact on the game anyway. Biome votes were cool since we could pick a biome for Mojang to rework, but this is just pretty lame in comparison. I also liked the 2022 vote since it used mobs from spinoff games, but these past two have just been weird and random mobs.

 

If the sniffer has million number of fans I am one of them. If the sniffer has ten fans I am one of them. If the sniffer has only one fan and that is me. If the sniffer has no fans, that means I am no longer on earth. If the world against the sniffer, I am against the world.

 

The sniffer will never only have 1 fan, since I'm a loyal fan as well.

 

Rascal: has scoliosis and social anxiety (I have those things already, ew)
Tuff Golem: dumb and also stupid, is literally just the butter robot from Rick and Morty
Sniffer: you can throw sugar in front of them and pretend it's cocaine

ngl all of these actually look super cool. Tuff Golem was bit disappointing, but I still think it looks pretty nice. However, if I had to say, probably Sniffer in the end. (also am i the only person who thinks rascal is underrated)

 

rascal is kinda useless

 

why dont they just add the wildfire please

 

my favourite part is when the mob gets implemented and half+ of the people who voted for it dont even like it anymore

 

i did sniffer but i'll be honest sniffer is going to get added anyways and i'm way too bothered to vote

 

The sniffer is the best one but the name is going to get so many memes

 

That only makes it an even better option.

 

Ah yes, good old spinoff game mobs which are also weird and random.
(It's now 2022)

 

But hey! At least it's the most useful one there...


which is a low bar, considering Sniffer does almost nothing and Tuff Golem is an item frame.

Sniffer adds new plants.
As a builder who likes making gardens, I like new plants.

 

If I were voting I would vote sniffer even though I find it the least appealing, just because it adds new content. Rascal would basically be ambient and we need real ambient mobs like parrots, that aren't useful but are still fun because they are interactive. Tuff golem seems fun and really interesting so it's really close second, but new actual content is still more important.
