I played most of 1.20 quests in beta, and have not touched 2.0 quests. From what I can tell, the quests are typically longer than new/improved 1.20 quests and are generally more unique.

I liked what they did with a lot of the quests improved in 2.0. Most of the quests are pretty unique and play differently than each other. Like how Marauder's Dues and Purple and Blue play nothing like each other now. There is also how some of them use dialogue trees to give the player a voice.

I personally like The Canary Calls, because it plays nothing like its pre 2.0 version. I also like how Purple and Blue gives different rewards to the player based on their choices like what An Iron Heart 2 did.

I don't really like the new Aldorei's Secret 2 because of how it shoehorns RoL crap into its story and doesn't really have a connection with its previous quest. The reward you even get for completing Part 1 only has the purpose of being sold to a villager in the town. I also find it baffling how revamped quests like Fantastic Voyage and Fallen Delivery can't be replayed when using a character that has done them in 1.20, but Royal Trials can be replayed despite its only change being a dialogue tree and fetch quest in place of getting a pirate wig.

I liked the new quests like All Roads to Peace and Hollow Serenity. I don't know how they played pre 1.20, but I personally like Hollow Serenity as it feels more like a horror movie plot than a combat-based quest. It's also in this quest where I learned that the talking mushroom can shit-talk Lari,

Well, 2.0 is starting to make quests with different outcomes and endings. Pre 2.0 don't have many content differences and we're now beginning to get more of the various dialog option, completion path, ending and etc. So 2.0 definitely has opened the possibilities for more advanced quest

I always like whenever a quest provides dialogue choices which is why I like 2.0 quest-wise more

Some quests being reset while others arent doesnt really depend on how much the quest changed. I recall seeing a CT member talking about it in discord, so I might not remmeber perfectly but it has something to do with how changing the number of quest stages resets the quest. basically quests cant just be easily reset when they are changed, which is why which ones get reset seems kind of arbitrary.

    I'd say 1.20
I feel that a lot of 2.0 quests were just meh, and although there were great quests in 2.0, 1.20 had more. 1.20 quests also felt more memorable.
Some 2.0 quests have a lot more dialogue options, but not all of them.

    Hollow serenity was great
Aldorei's secret 2 made no sense whatsoever and was not in any way connected to part 1
I dunno, I'm new enough that the only 9nes I played in 1.20 that got revamped are the hunger of gerts quests
And amdittedly I kinda preferred the 1.20 hunger of gerts but i can see why they'd want to change it

I played through 1.20 quests first time and I've played pre 2.0 and 1.20 ver 2.0 quests, I would say I enjoyed the first time experience for 2.0 quests much more than the 1.20 quests. What I said before might of been a factor but generally the 1.20 quests apart from RoL are alright but don't do much for me, while 2.0 quests(apart from aldorie two and hunger of the gerts) really feel alive and interesting, althought 1.20 had more the good 2.0 quests were just better. For example canary calls is just great, good humor interesting minigames great horror surreal experiences and a amazing boss. 1.20 quests are good for me and theres more but 2.0 has better ones that I prefer but less of them. I really can't think of any 1.20 quests I really liked or found amazing but I can clearly name multiple for 2.0

Imo most of quests reworked in 1.20 were okayish quests to begin with, while most 2.0 reworked quests were really bland before and actually needed change.
