SPOILER Not 1, but 2 spamton refrences were added in 2.0

Bip is found in the hollow serenity quest, and talks about some day, he'll be a big shot again.
Mastro is found during from the bottom and festival of the bonfire and mentions souls and determination multiple times, with random capitalized words. Plus, he's a salesman.

But they were used in the same sentence. I think they knew exactly what they were doing there. Also on the wiki he still says that

Who is Bip? I played that quest I don't remember a Bip anywhere.

 

In the section where you ask a bunch of village people stuff about Garvan, he is one of the villagers. I'm pretty sure he's not necessary to talk to, though.

Mastro I don't think so, mastro is very different. But Bip was confirmed by a ct in discord iirc to be a spamton reference early in the beta, with how simmiliar his story is and how he acts. But juggler in the blizzard event(pretty sure blizzard or was it hero) made one

Mastro was not a Spamton reference. He does reference Alex Louis Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist in name, however, and I took inspiration from OMORI's Pluto when writing. Seriously, listen to THE VENGEANGE OF THOSE FORGOTTEN IN DARKNESS while reading Mastro's dialogue. He was just intended to be a hot-blooded, overdramatic dwarf.
