My current research on recurring disconnects.

Awhile back I made a thread talking about how I was getting frequently disconnected at random times from wynncraft. I later learned about this thread: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/an-update-about-recent-connection-issues.302672/ which clearly shows the devs know about this issue and are doing their best to fix it. However, there was one thing mentioned in the thread that didn't line up, everybody was talking about a "remote host" disconnect message. I've been getting disconnected frequently from wynncraft, but I've never actually gotten a "remote host" disconnect message. For reference, a few I've screenshotted are below. I also have noticed some patterns for when I get disconnected. I've been disconnected almost entirely when I'm in heavy combat, with lots of entities and spells going off. This particularly has been a problem when church grinding, running li, and doing raids. I do not remember a single time I've been disconnected other than when I was in some crazy combat. There have been no exceptions to this. Moderate combat has never disconnected me. Non-combat has never disconnected me. I've also never been disconnected while playing on vanilla 1.12.2. I tested this version out to see if it might be a problem with the minecraft versions, and it turns out that playing on vanilla 1.12.2 might just cure disconnects entirely. However playing on vanilla 1.12.2 has its own downsides, like the lack of access to performance enhancing mods like sodium, lithium, etc. So I'm left with a choice. Do I play on 1.12.2 to avoid getting disconnected but have terrible game performance, or do I play with the mods and get disconnected frequently? It's a bit of a no-win scenario. Either way, I have done a bit of testing to see how disconnects interact with mods and versions. Like I said earlier, vanilla 1.12.2 has never disconnected me. I also tried 1.19.2 with optifine as the only mod, and disconnects happened. Same with 1.16.5 with optifine as the only mod. 1.18.2 with 5 performance enhancing mods also caused a disconnect. I also tried out vanilla 1.19.2, and I did get disconnected once early on, but no matter how much chaotic church grinding I did, I couldn't get it to happen again. Sadly, I forgot to screenshot the disconnect message for vanilla 1.19.2, but it was very similar to the second screenshotted disconnect message. If anybody out here knows a thing or two and can understand what these disconnect messages really mean, I would greatly appreciate you explaining them a bit. Right now, it's all gibberish to me. Anyway, in conclusion, this whole disconnecting issue is looking to be far more complicated than I thought, and I haven't really thought of a clear workaround. It might have something to do with mods or versions, but I don't have any significant evidence yet. I have included a poll which I would really like people to answer, asking if they have been getting similar disconnect messages to me, or if they have been getting the "remote host" disconnect message that HeyZeer0 mentioned in his original thread. This is more common during 2.0 than pre1.20. I think it has to do with the new combat system.
I've got disconnected twice during a boss fight which all of it happened during a big fight moment.
Perhaps the abilities registry is affecting the connection with the server?

 

I think I'm going to turn this thread into sort of a blog post for disconnects. Anyway this evening I got a lot fewer of them, I was playing the entire time on my 1.18.2 performance mods version. I got kicked a total of two times, once was during some church grinding at the very beginning of the session, and once during tna at the final boss of the lightbearer room. I'm surprised I didn't get disconnected very much, considering I played for multiple hours this evening and did a few runs of NotG, NOL, EO, qira hive, and at least 30 mins of church grinding. Anyway, here are screenshots of the two disconnects I did get.

 

Disconnect blog day 2: I was not disconnected at all today. The issue appears to be fixed. I played for many hours today on my 1.18.2 performance mods version, of which my activity consisted of running tna, church grinding, tcc, nol, and li. I was not disconnected at all during any of these. While I'm a bit tentative about saying this whole thing is over, and I have yet to test any other versions after today, things are looking good. Thank you, Wynncraft team! I'm probably not going to log on during the weekend but when I get back I plan to test out a few different vanilla and optifine versions of the minecraft and see how things are there.

Then I switched PCs and suddenly the problem didn’t exist anymore

 

I've gotten this one a few times over the last few days. My game randomly stops responding and then I dc for no reason

 

Here's another one I've been getting for the past 2 months now.

"Internal Exception: java.io.iIOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"

This happens entirely randomly in an immediate without any lag every 1 - 20 minutes. No matter where I am. Even in the lobby or the /class menu...
It's just like someone would pull my internet cable. (Except my internet doesn't go out / lag out in any way at all)
Whenever I get this disconnect, it actually takes ~20 more seconds for me to actually leave the server. So my player basically just AFKs where I disconnected for ~20 seconds until I finally get kicked.
Incredibly frustrating if I'm doing any sort of combat activities, as you literally always die to anything and everything.

Playing has been an absolute nightmare, and this specific disconnect only affects people on Germany. The exact disconnect happens on Hypixel as well. Apart from that, all other servers seem fine.

I'd really appreciate if you could give any advice or have any clue on how and why this happens.
