Class for Next Playthrough: Warrior or Assassin?

As my Shaman play through is coming to a close, I was thinking about playing through another class. I’ve done Archer b4, but I wanted to do a more melee-based class, so I decided against mage (for now) too. The thing is, I’ve heard quite a lot of… mixed feedback on both classes, and since I haven’t really tried out them yet, I was wondering which class I should do then. I’d also appreciate any tips or tricks for using your suggested class and their archetypes. Thanks!

i just did a battle monk playthrough and it was a lot of fun

 

Did you take any abilities from the other 2 archetypes, and if so what were they and why?

 

Acrobat is the most fun archetype. Battle Monk is okay but it doesn't have many unique skills going for it, the only visible one is like, Whirlwind Strike which is just unfun Lacerate.

 

i took some earth stuff from fallen since i decided to use water air and earth
probably the biggest one i took was Ragnarokkr from fallen since it makes war scream incredibly good
that was actually all
i have 1 more ability point to unlock but it won't change much

i would personally suggest doing what you think looks best though

 

I’ve heard a lot of mixed feedback on that one. I don’t get why some people say it’s trash while others say it’s good.

 

It's extremely fun, but takes a TON of skill and causes hand pain.

 

Acrobat is good as in it can clear through content pretty well, but its dps falls short compared to other classes and their archetypes while requiring a lot more work to succeed with it. It's definitely one of the most fun though.

 

Acrobat is the definition of "Constant Damage" and also as others have said it does require skill to use (Jasmine Bloom and Smoke Bomb ain't gonna deal all your damage). You have to learn how to use Righting Reflex effectively to aim Lacerate and Multihit if you want to achieve optimal DPS

 

Bumping this again. I’ll keep bumping until I finish my playthrough of Shaman.
