Would this quick-spell hotkey be against the rules?

    Basically, I have an idea.

I make a script that does the following when I press the side buttons on my mouse:

Each click would do a seperate spell, but the same button repeats this order: RLR first click, RLL second, RRR third, RLR fourth, RLL fifth, RRR sixth, etc.
It would repeat that cycle over and over.

    Would this be allowed?
And is there a limit to how fast one-button-spells can click without breaking the rules?

    2. Macros

Macros are only allowed to be used to input a single 3-click spell command at a time or to automate chat commands such as the party system. Macros that loop or are designed to do anything else are not allowed as it gives you an unfair advantage. However, macros that loop melee attacks by keeping a mouse/keyboard button pressed down are allowed.
I'd assume that as long as you have to click the button each time it would work, but I'm a bit confused too... I think the keystone here is "single 3-click spell command at a time". The button is only ever, at a particular time, a single 3-click spell command, even though that 3-click spell command is updated after each use. Even if that counts as "at the same time" you can have a secondary key to update it, but I feel like that wouldn't be necessary.

This is a pretty cool concept tho

Not sure but single click for the spells are allowed, seeing as wynntils has these keybinds for spells. I doubt it would be allowed if it has an order of what spells it casts or it does multiple one after another. Even with an order of spells casted with one click, I wouldn't imagine being lazy enough as to need to have a spell list that is casted on one click compared to single-click for each one, nevermind manually casting them. As the person above said, interesting but probably not allowed.

Having 1 button loop a cycle would be disallowed as its a macro that loops. And as you can see from the rules, macros that loop are off limits

Wait, i think I understand what you're saying.

You only press 1 button, but after each press the output gets changed by the code you write so that each press of the single button casts spells in a cycle?
I'd that's what you're saying then we need confirmation from a mod cause that's unclear in the rules
