Impossible Green Goop Quest

-TL;Dr: Met a wall of fast-respawning fast slimes.

I am a level 33 Arcanist-Archetype wizard and I've been trying to finish the Green Goop Quest since level 31 (about 2 hours ago).

The slimes are just TOO MANY - TOO STRONG! Nothing like the youtube tutorials where the slimes only attack if you are within breathing distance.

Each room has something like 20 'tiny cave slimes' which deal 20 damage to me (No biggie, right? I have 850 HP). I can take out most of them with a meteor spell, but even after I dump 120 MP's worth of meteros on them they still keep respawning!

I can't progress down the cave to where I need to go to finish my quest, simply because I die to tiny hitbox slimes that respawn instantly and can JUMP to you. I've tried using level 25 heal potions and a mount to rush through the slimes, but I die 1-2 rooms away from the area I need to get to.

Any suggestions on how I can actually finish this?

 

Have you tried teleporting through the slimes yet? If you time your time your teleports, and maybe combine it with and Agi pot or something(unlocked at level 35) then you can probably get through. When I did that quest on my Shaman, I mostly used my mount, and then used the powerful AoE DoT ability know as Totem to spawn kill the slimes. Of course, that won't work for you, so just make sure all of your armor, weapons, and accessories aren't underleveled and spam Teleport.

 

I have been met with this same problem. For the level quest it is, it poses a strong opposition to players who are supposed to be able to finish it. The slimes are way to over powered and need to be nerfed. :D
