Why does 2.0 Assassin Suck: I think the assassin class is fun in general, but is not suitable for the rather lonely game play of wynncraft. If the beginning of the wynncraft game imperatively required finding other players to level up, then the assassin would have his place, but in the current massively solitary grinding of wynncraft, the assassin is alone, and is neither tanky, can not heal himself to infinity, and is close to danger. The assassin is made for a multi-party adventure. But I like to play the class

Why does 2.0 assassin suck: Honestly my brain is too tiny to understand how to use shadestepper properly and the "heavy damage" looks like it has too high of a requirement to work well in the first place. I did only have a glance at it so I'm probably wrong. The archetype with clones seem hella underpowered just based off the description. And I don't see much fun in acrobat other than the wall jump that doesn't work because I have 300 ping.

Bc the shadestepper doesnt deal enough damage and is onehit after engage, because he cant get invis again due to a cooldown, the trickster actually feels nice to play but is basically useless and the acrobat feels to clunky to play, in addition he lost cc on spin attack which was a really nice thing to have.

Why does 2.0 assassin suck? Because it lost its identity.

While other classes had their archetypes boost their identities in multiple ways (such as fallen warrior, boltslinger archer, riftwalker mage or practically all shaman archetypes) assassin's archetypes split its identity into 3 different parts with hardly any wiggle room to even recombine a few of them. Not only that, but the archetypes for assassin seem really weak and inferior compared to other classes, and many abilities just focus on trying to recreate what 1.20 assassin was rather than go somewhere new.

I literally have no idea why they removed vanish and changed it into a bootleg warrior charge instead, then lock vanish and its upgrades behind shadestepper, which by the end is just an inferior 1.20 assassin. The other archetypes are either too clunky or weak and fail to live up to the gameplay that assassin had before. There are probably other things regarding archetypes being weak or useless but since I hardly play assassin I'll let others talk more in depth about that.

Basically, every other class got welcome upgrades while assassin had its identity stripped from it and replaced with archetypes that can't compete well with other classes.
