Mage/Dark Wizard Help Wynncraft 2.0 Poison Mage Build Help

    THE GOAL
    Looking for an endgame tanky mage build that solely relies on poison for its true damage. The mage build would be focusing on two Lightbender abilities: Sunshower and Orphion's Pulse. Heal would be the mage's main source of damage and sustain. Sunshower AOE would apply poison when the mage heals. Heal recovers a flat 15% max health and Orphion's Pulse recovers 20% max health twice afterwards. This means, just by using heal, poison is applied 3 times in an AOE around the mage and 55% of the mage's max health can be recovered.

    Dump extra skill points into Defense and then Agility
    ~ 20,000 HP and 80,000 Effective HP. ~ 25,000/3s Poison or ~8,00o Poison DPS. ~21,000 Poison DPS with Courage.


    IMPROVEMENTS
    Any suggested changes that would improve this build? What other things should I get in the ability tree that would benefit this build?

    Id hate to be the bearer of bad news but poison kinda got gutted in 2.0 and combined with the def/agility nerf meaning that even a 1 to 1 transfer of your build will see yourself with far less damage as well as far less tank than you had in 2.0.
    If you are still dedicated to poison in 2.0 or hopeful for the future I do have at least some ability tree recommendations that I've been planning on using to mess around with 2.0 poison mechanics.

    This is just your current build transferred into 2.0
    I've personally found Ophanim pretty helpful as it can extend your range cause the orbs seem to fly farther than your main attack while also allowing you to attack more often due to not being locked through sequoia's Very slow attack speed. Also the Ophanim overheal spinning orbs help to apply poison to anything within the vicinity and since you'll be casting heal regularly more often than not you will end up having this up at most if not all times. Triple Ice snake, teleport's arrival explosion are self explanatory just more things for mobs to come in contact with.

    Some things to note about 2.0 poison. Currently strength no longer affects poison damage like how it did in 1.20 so your dps is going to fall far below what it was prior 8.5k to 5.0k with this current build of yours. Courage and Curse also no longer operate with it so you wont be hitting 22k courage ticks anymore hence the mention before about "far less damage as well as far less tank than you had in 2.0". Fortunately poison now has no troubles stacking in multiplayer now so go wild with other people around and now pets can help spread poison to mobs. Unfortunately the timer still doesn't stack as it did in 1.20 so if you are used to it then its about the same experience is not then youll just have to have more reliance on your aoe for consistent uptime

    If you want more poison you can go all in with poison damage and use this with the same abilities tho youll still be missing out on those big numbers of 1.20

    I personally recommend using something with Plague Major ID so either Uranium Ageis or Plague staff which can assist you spread poison to mobs without wasting mana constantly on aoe damage so you can run something more damaging while still being able to heal things off since they reworked how it runs.

    PS: if you want moar poison damage there is a way tho im still not entirely sure if its a bug cause it doesn't seem intended but you could theoretically get back to hitting the 1.20 numbers with a lot more effort required so I don't entirely recommend it.
