A Tribute to 1.20's The Canyon Guides - Seluc's last adventure (with pictures)

Sup, it's your local madlad back at it again with another crazy thing.

I escorted Seluc to Detlas.

We started our journey with little pazaz and made it to Cinfras with minimal casualties (on the mobs side ofc)


After avoiding the Light Forest mobs, we finally made it to Bucie intact!


Once we got to the Llevigar plains Seluc could actually help fight! This area was a breeze


Through Llevigar and into the ocean! I wish I could say this was plain sailing...

The ocean took us around 30 minutes because we had to move at ~2 bps


We finally see dry land again! Just the little stretch of land between us and Detlas awaits!


Seluc was a hit with the locals! Many players came from different worlds even to get a glimpse of his nose
(flattering picture I know)

That wasn't enough for Seluc though, Seluc had dreams. Seluc wanted to see the Silent Expanse.
He managed to rope a few of the interdimensional players into helping for the small cost of a once in a lifetime oppertunity of taking a selfie with him.
With the help of those interdimensional beings, it wasn't long before we made it to Lutho in good health


After that it was just a short jaunt down the road to Eldritch Outlook where Seluc gave That1Creeper his selfie oppertunity

We unfortunately had to leave That1Creeper in the dungeon entrance as they could not pass further, but at long last, Seluc got to meet his personal hero
Then he went to see Greg. RIP Seluc.


Yeah, this was my latest crazy idea. I should really make an archive of these.

The Canyon Guides is my second favorite quest behind A Meaningful Holiday and I'm the only person to genuinely enjoy it. (mostly because it makes other people mad.) And though I haven't played the updated version, I know it wont be as frustraiting for other players as it is now.

This was my first attempt, and yes, the ocean was the hardest part. I literally had to put something on walk and space so that I could do other stuff while waiting.

So yeah, Seluc visited Detlas and got to "see" the sights!

 

Oh... though I HATE SELUC, this made my heart warmer, RIP 1.20 Seluc.
