So, where are you guys going now?
I know Aberion is going to get his name changed, but idk where Aphoria is headed, and I’m too lazy to wait for a response of “oh whats in the city” :P
If you want a list of some things I’d recommend trying to find:
1. Magical Items (Fantasy-esque items [potions, spell scrolls, enchantments]) - These aren’t necessarily cheap, but you can probably procure a lot of them with ease if you have the funds.
2. Magitech Items (Sci-fi-esque items [rifles, grenades, riot armor]) - Probably a lot more expensive because of how closed the borders are. But, because it’s rare, there’s always someone selling it for that extra profit.
3. Personal Supplies - If you want things that you don’t think Era will have, or you want personal access to something (alcohol, drugs, maybe a notebook, idk what else [I DO NOT CONDONE THE USE OF ANY MENTIONED SUBSTANCES, AND ALL MENTIONS OF SUCH SUBSTANCES ARE USED BY ME IN FICTIONAL CONTEXT AND DO NOT RELATE TO ANY ASPECTS OF REAL LIFE]), that can be acquired.
4. Mundane Gear - Items such as normal weapons, normal armor, etc. can be aquired from any blacksmith, varying by the quality that each blacksmith can create.

I will now proceed to name every type of armor in D&D 5e alone

Padded, Leather, Studded, Hide, Chain shirt, Scale Mail, Breastplate, Half plate, Ring mail, Chain mail, Splint, and Plate.

And these are the general terms remember. Every magic armor falls under one of these 12 types of armor.
I cannot just give you “normal armor.” Please, be specific of what you want. If you say “I’d like to go take a look at some normal armors. What do they have in the blacksmiths?” that gives me a lot more room to work with than just “gib normal armor.” (And I didn’t even list normal armor as a thing because there isn’t such a thing as an average armor set. I’d rather you give me an overspecific detailed list than something as vague as that)

I <3 the character. You’ll have to give me a while to write plot in my head because of the peculiar position of the character (also bc I’m supposed to study for my math test that’s in 20 minutes DDD;) but I’ll def start this weekend

They have pretty much anything you want or could think of. As the headquarters of the entire Sia Guild, they have materials and gear set up specifically for the adventurers they commission. They also have a lot of special artisans who can custom create stuff, but it will take more money (but probably be better!).
@Tsurumi Aberion:
Magitech has been created for most things outside of armor (power armor does exist, but it is extremely rare, and probably only owned by the leaders of countries.), but it’s usually found in the form of jewelry with certain effects that can be activated, normally with a hand gesture or a voice command. (I don’t have an exact list of items, but you can pretty much mix and match whatever effects you can think of, and ill balance them for rp purposes.).

Just clarifying for myself, your character is the archknight of the Queen, not the Sia Guild right? Either works but it'll change how I write your perspective based on which one you choose. (Technically the Sia Guild is the strongest "nation" on "plane"t Aer, but they aren't technically a mainland continent because they don't actually own any continents. In terms of nation strength, the top 3 are, in order, Dragonborn (Sakura), Elves (Aylivian Sylvia), and Halflings (Draven).)

The days grow quite boring now that the wars are past. Each day, two young elves, brother and sister, bring you stacks of scrolls, Aether tablet files, and Lumine databases detailing reports on troop placement, minor skirmishes, and the occasional uprising in some distant town. All of which are quickly dealt with by just a few words detailing an order, and a signature given to one of the same attendants.
Just as you’ve signed the fifty-seventh order, a new figure opens the door. She’s dressed in a fancy yet simple white dress, with her hair trailing down her shoulder. You recognize her as the the Queen’s oldest daughter, Abilace.
“Um… E-Elduin? Oh there you are.” She looks a bit flustered. “My moth- The Queen wants to meet with you. I-Immediately… She’s in the reception room.”

You enter the reception room and are greeted by the sight of the queen seemingly arguing with a very well dressed dragonborn sat across the table.. As you enter, you just catch the end of their words.
“-take over Valra? It’ll only take a few of your forces, and we’ll supply the resources.”
“I told you I can’t make this decision without my archni-” the turns to the door where you are currently stood. “Perfect timing. Come take a seat,” motioning towards an empty chair on the side of the table.
The dragonborn bows slightly. “Well met Arc Elduin. I am General Phora ‘TwinStar’ Yone of the Sakuran Forces.”

 

I greet him as well and ask what is going on

The people at the desk slightly flinch at your name, but immediately jump to attention and follow your requests after mentioning Era’s name. Without much trouble, a new card is handed to you with the name (imagine i put aberion here again lol) Aphel, and you head out of the building and into the market tower.

Walking through the food stands, a vast assortment of delicacies from all countries are arranged on tabletops, some vendors calling out to the crowd advertising their goods, other cooking behind the counter with oil sizzling on iron skillets. However, one establishment catches your eye. The old elf man running the stand is selling a few very peculiar crystal powders kept in jars (I swear I was thinking of sugar not anything else). Each of them are advertised with effects such as (insert whatever cool effects you want here).

He has a very strong accent (OOC southern US).

“Herrow dere yun sir, -hut can i get you t’day?” (hello there young sir, what can i get you today)

The elven man smiles brightly at you.

The sun glows through the massive windows in the tower.

It is afternoon.

In the market tower, there’s plenty of blacksmiths around town selling armor in forms from all across Aer, from the dwarven signature plate mail, to the dragon scale mail of Sakura, to the leather druidic armor of the gnomes. One figure in particular seems to be in the center of the blacksmiths, who many people are talking to, and heading off in whatever direction he points to. Maybe a guide?
