Assassin 2.0 archetypes

Does it make sense to combine several archetypes, such as shadowstepper and trickster?

 

Yes, the tree is designed in a way that you can mix abilities from different archetypes. Just dont try mixing acrobat and shadestepper, cuz they dont go well toghether.

If we look at the tree, this is full Shadestepper with Mirror Image and Last Laugh. This is great because Clones can reduce incoming damage by 80% and because you don't have Echo, they do not reduce the damage you deal (Think of this as Assassin's version of Mantle of the Bovemist, since the Clones also have a 20s Cooldown). Additionally, they'll cast Spin Attack upon dying which does add Marked to opponents they hit.

But overall Assassin tree severely limits how much hybridization you can do. And as mentioned earlier, Acrobat Shadestepper is just a waste. Acrobat does significantly better if you go for the full Archetype rather than combine it with others.
