Resource Pack The Fungal Pack - Making Wynncraft noteblock songs spicier

Hi everyone~

I made a resource pack that replaces the Wynncraft noteblock sounds with instruments and stuff that I use in my OST covers on my Musical Mushroom channel.

Please note that 2.0 is about to come out, and when it does, I will be working to update the pack ASAP. But when it comes out, just temporarily disable it. As stated in the video, the pack is separate from the official Wynn pack and requires disabling the server resource pack - when 2.0 comes out, just re-enable it and turn off the pack temporarily.

This is a collection of 4 individual resource packs technically - they each have different instrument pallets of sorts:
-Orchestral is pretty much the default one. It sounds at least decent for all the songs. Main melody is like strings and stuff.
-Piano is the same as orchestral, but the main melody is replaced with a piano. Works very well for Silent Expanse songs.
-Synth is, as the name suggests, using synth sounds vaguely reminiscent of 80s or Sci-Fi stuff.
-Bits is that classic 8-bit style like in an NES game.

If you have any ideas for other pallets, please let me know!

 

Will you have a place to listen to the different songs and song styles individually like on a separate youtube channel or as unlisted? Just curious

 

Wasn't planning on it. But I can certainly make an attempt to do so. :)

Hey, the pack currently messes up some textures, like making Emerald pouches axes.

 

Oof, I'll fix that ASAP.

 

UPDATED IT! Check the google drive.

Unfortunately, only the 1.18.2 version of the 2.0 pack is available at the moment, so no 1.12.2 without some broken textures for now. But I'll get that done ASAP whenever the 1.12.2 WynnPack for 2.0 is released!

Hello! I really liked this texture pack, but the problem is that it does not work for me, when I start it, the music just does not change, could you help me with this :(

 

It seems as though this pack ONLY works when you don't let the server apply the server's resource pack. You can download the server's resource pack and load in into the server with that, but only if you modify the prompt for the server to download/apply the server resource pack.

It's convoluted and the current Bonfire event isn't making things better because of new modifications that this resource pack doesn't support in the slightest.

 

Something I don't understand, why remake the whole texture pack rather then simply having this one change the music?

 

Hi. I'm actually pretty inexperienced with making resource packs, so there's probably something I'm not seeing, but the reasoning is: when you load in with the Wynncraft resource pack of the server, the original noteblock sounds seem to take priority OVER the Fungal Pack. As a result, the new sounds don't play. For me at least, there is no option to lower its priority.

If there's a way past this, just let me know and I'll get to it immediately~

 

Do you have the Wynn pack installed in your resource pack folder, or are you using the server side one?

If you've manually installed the Wynn resource pack, you can simply drag it under your pack.

 

Server side takes priority. It was the server side that I had an issue with.

 

Disable it and then manly install the Wynn pack, you will be able to lower its priority after that.

so basically, load wynn without server packs enabled, client side load wynns latest server pack and then just load your pack above it (to make it so you dont have to constantly update it, just delete everything except the "sounds" folder and that way only the sounds will overwrite the wynn pack)

 

I mean yeah, I guess, I just didn't want to put the burden on the player to constantly get the wynnpack themselves every time the server updates. But if that's the best way, then I'll change it.

The resource packs in the google drive folder have been changed - they now only change the sound. I'll update the directions soon.
