SPOILER Skill Issuing as Acolyte

Hi everybody!

I'm on a quest to beat LI as an Acolyte, using Morph and Cryoseism since that's all I have on the beta.
(I got wiped from a wipe bug and lost a lot of stuff.)

Here, I will be editing this post with my attempts and how far I've gotten.

Yeah, I'm definitely having a skill issue.
If anyone has any tips on not being bad at Acolyte I'd love to hear.

 

Get a tanky teammate (i.e. paladin or trickster) to take aggro and hits for you. Having an ally take damage instead of you allows you to more freely utilize your health as the resource that acolyte turns it into, while also providing an ally for you to support. Acolyte is about half damage and half support, so out of the three main roles, you are missing a tank. For extra survivability, put spare points into defense.

I did the same challenge and managed to beat it. I found that spamming melee substantially drains from your blood pool from all of the twisted tethers, so I recommend not using it too often. Additionally, be patient with your spells. Wait and let every aura be blood boosted, and also wait for every aura to bounce back for better efficiency. If you find yourself in a pickle, walk outside of the totem's range and teleport back to it using blood connection. Blood connection is very good for kiting melee bosses like MoW. Play it slow, keep an eye on the blood pool, and win the war of attrition.
