How do y'all stay interested in wynn and enhance the experience ?

Hi everyone.

So, to add a bit more background here, I joined wynncraft 6 years ago, for a total playtime of around 150h on 2 accounts (had to buy the game again because I couldn't migrate my account)

Anyway, I really struggle being consistent while playing wynncraft. I truly love this server and get so hyped at every update, but for some reason, in these many years with many classes I couldn't go further than lv 50-55. I always got kinda bored because it felt like a routine.

I also tend to be more of a casual or "regular but not 6h a day" kind of player depending the moment. And mostly played alone because of non-matching schedules (even when I was a teenager with a life full of free time) so me or my partners would always and up at a way higher level than the other

This is really a problem to me as I know things aren't going to exist forever and I'd love to see everything this amazing server has to offer, there are so many secrets that are the result of thousands of cumulated work hours from the staff... before it eventually shuts down in a few years.

I know some people will wonder why don't I just give up. Well idk, feels worth giving it a shot.

So what I'd like to do with this thread is gathering tips about how to make it more enjoyable, and maybe finding some alternative playstyles and players with similar experiences.

Anyone and any kind of tip or experience sharing is welccome here !!

 

tbh i have a similar issue, after a while, grinding up classes became boring

hence, why i figured out my own way to play wynncraft
like imagine your favorite gameplay style and try to do smth based off that
if u like writing, you could investigate wynn lore and make fan theories
if u like grinding, grind up lv 106
if u like challenging yourself, do modes like HIC or give yourself some custom rule like ChaosDragon_’s videos

theres a lot of options, you juat have to find the right one for you

 

To be honest, everything interests me here, i enjoy discovering the world, its characters, events, quests and more, but I also love dungeons and stuff like this.

The problem is that such an hybrid playstyle slows everything

 

For not casual purposes, you can either no life profs (do not recommend coming from max level player), lootrun for mythics/money, or start a challenge class. I personally love playing HIC classes.

For casual purposes, you can join a guild for the community aspects, or even join a warring/on-map guild for wars.

Or make your own challenges like other people have stated.

 

I recommend starting an Ironman class. That is what revamped my interest in Wynn after I had maxed out a class and had 4 classes up to 100 ish. Something about it... it was almost a complete reset of the experience. It was almost like I was starting a fresh account, only I HAD to avoid using the bank and market.

For some reason, the whole "get your own gear and do it by yourself" really drew me back into Wynn. Since then, I play primarily Ironman and have also gotten a Hardcore Ironman to 103 and a HIC to 98.

Here's what I believe to be the nost important part of maintaining interest:
Have multiple things to do.
If you feel bored of HIC, take a break (though I'd recommend pushing through until level 50 at least, so you have some investment in it and don't just restart the next time you play (like I did like, 4 times))
If you get bored from lootrunning, level a class to 50 (or 80 if you know the good spots to grind)
You could also:
100% a class (finding secrets)
Questing
LI
EO
Dueling/PVP in Hunted (I know some people who get their thrills from that)
Class building
And market sniping

Not all of those are for everyone, but it's good to try some things out. It's also fun to find a community to complain about things to

 

do you know where I could find a guild ? I'm not really used to coming from nowhere and asking to join a group lmao

alright, I think I'll try a 100% class before going into challenges like Ironman or HIC, or maybe just do Ironman and 100% at once

I think it's important to state that taking breaks from the game aren't unhealthy.
If you feel bored or exhausted of Wynn, then checking out for a little while and waiting for more content or events isn't a bad thing.

Ok tealy but I don’t think everyone can make fat stacks of Le in wynncraft

 

the best way is to do quests and play casually, i learned this tip from when i was in my bedwars phase, its that never play for winning, do whatever is fun, friends are the most fun, if u feel like it quit wynn for a lil bit and try out different games, theres nothing worse than forcing urself to enjoy a game u hate

Yeah, I came to a similar conclusion, I'm better when just vibing there and doing whatever I feel like doing at the moment.

I took advantage of the double XP weekend to grindelevels so I could start going to places I never visited before, like Troms and it feels very good discovering things.
