Any tips for starting out? (Assassin)

not much to say besides the title besides "do I keep my somewhat weak account that I haven't played on in the past year or do I make a new one"

 

My tips would be to:
- Make a new class. It's relatively quick to level up.
- Do your quests. They're the best in every way.
- Do secret discoveries. Good lore and experience points.
- Ignore professions. They're the worst.

also don't worry too much about gear until level 70-80
if you wanna play optimal check out meta gear for leveling but do that on your second playthrough or smth
if bosses are hard ask for help in /pfinder or in your WC
quest help can be found on le wynn wiki

 

so just loot chests and other things to get gear (or just buy it)?

Don't worry about gear to much. The game is pretty easy until the endgame. You can throw anything together and it will work reliably for you.

 

also what version do I play on

 

1.12.2 is probably the most stable. You can play anything 1.12.2+ though.

 

one more question, I'm currently deleting my old class, so should I toss out everything in my bank too

 

Depends on your preference. Do you want to have a completely fresh start? Or do you want to keep some of the old stuff to help you, like any emeralds?

 

I would recommend keeping the emeralds if you plan to clear your bank as they can help a lot in endgame. Also people keep telling you to just wear random gear until 70-90 where you can ask others in the forums for good builds. Builds are basically thingies put together like armor, skill points, and weapons.

 

Still trying to use morph-gold only 2 other set pieces at level 56 isn't really advised though
