Quickest Way to Get New Weapons?

I am stuck at level 15 with a level 8 spear. I know a common way to get new loot is through unidentified boxes but I only seem to get armor in those. What would be a better way to find a better weapon for my level?

 

Try lootrunning, even though it sucks at early game. If you just want a normal/rare better weapon, then you can also buy one at a merchant.

 

Loot running implies what, just grinding killing mobs?

 

Lootrunning is just opening chests with some path. Personally if you want a new weapon I suggest buying one from the trade market. There's one in Detlas. Although you should be fine even without a new weapon.

 

If you really can't find/afford a new weapon, there are also NPCs that sell weapons in most big cities.

If you kill enough mobs, you should eventually either get some spears or some emeralds to just buy some.
