Professions

I am fairly new to the game and am beginning to look into professions. What professions are the most worthwhile, or are they fairly balanced?

 

i would strongly recommend against doing professions until after you complete your first playthrough

 

they are fairly balanced, but I can recommend farming and fishing because with the materials (mats) from those 2 you can already get 2/3 consumable craftings.

fishing becomes better the more you level it up and fishing spots become more abundant.
oil from fishing can be used in half of the crafting professions.

mining is very chill and the mats are used for every type of equipment except bows, wands and reliks.

woodcutting is easy at the start but in the endgame very tedious since trees are very far from each other compared to other gathering nodes.

farming seems to take long but is also the easiest to gather mats in endgame

 

Dont do professions on your first playthrough unless you really want to. You do get great stuff in the endgame with profs but its really tedious and best saved for when youre looking for something to do after playing through at least once. As a note, if you're planning on doing lots of quests you should get to level 20 in all gathering professions as youll need it for a couple quests

 

I think try professions on your 2nd play through or when your in endgame of Wynncraft (not end of Wynn, just the endgame of Wynn as of right now)

 

id be against that even, just do it when you either are determined to do it or when you have a lot of time
