Question: Client Side Mods Requirement

Hey everyone, happy Tuesday!

I recently found out about WynnCraft and was blown away. I did a bit of research and found out that the project is 10 years old at this point. My amazement with the transformation of our beloved Minecraft to a true MMORPG was immeasurable, but one question had began digging deeper and deeper in my mind:

As I had a bit of experience hosting small servers years ago, I was wandering how is it possible, with all the (obviously mainly custom) mods, to just be able to copy/paste an IP and play on the Client side with no additional downloads required?

I tried to find updated information on the topic in general, but every source said the same, as I know: Plugins are server only, mods need to be both server and client side.

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help me answer this question, so I can sleep better

i mean the sources are pretty much accurate. everything is in plugins/cmd etc and so you can just join via ip

 

The mistake you are making is that Wynncraft does not use mods. Everything was done with plugins.
