Very frustrating. I've been in contact with mods, CT, and even support for almost a month now trying to get this class revived. Some have ignored me, others have no clue or redirected me to support. Support has not replied yet. I don't even know what to do anymore except to state my frustrations.

There were 2 other people revived after dying to bugs, 1 of them almost the exact same bug in the same exact quest. Why not this class too?

Welp, this concludes the over a month long campaign of me trying to revive it:

    Extremely frustrating but understandable.

Will I start up another naked HIC in 2.0? Highly doubt it as I'm touching grass full time now. I would also have to wait a few months for the bugs to get kinked out before I even attempt to try it out, let alone the theorycrafting of the skill tree would break my brain trying to navigate it. I have like 0 motivation to try out 2.0 anyway.

Good luck to those playing HIC(H) in the future. You have no failsafe anymore with regards to against bugs.

Nah, this is not understandable, they have done this before and there's no reason at all to stop now.

You've died due to a bug they haven't been able to fix since that quest came out, during, what seems like, an incredibly challenging playthrough, that took you hundreds of hours, and they don't care enough to at least fix the consequence of them not bothering to fix one of the buggiest quests in the game for years? No, that's not understandable in the slightest.

What else should you have done? Predicted better? This death is entirely Wynncraft's fault and they should've fixed it, but I guess it's easier to just... not.

And it's not like a HIC(H) character dies due to a bug, every day, or every week, or even every month, hell, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen every half a year. There's also a chance a percentage of those deaths happen during early game, there it probably doesn't matter as much and you can reset. Also probably even a smaller percentage will have appropriate evidence to back up that their death was truly due to an unavoidable bug. So that's an incredibly small amount of people that potentially need their class revived, not a huge amount of work at all. And they can't continue doing it?

They really can't use the excuse of: "We can't do this for every player as it would be impossible on a server of this scale" or something similar, as even if they did this for every single player, that'll probably still be less than 10 cases a year (or even less) unless there's a sudden spike in HIC(H) challengers who continuously start dying due to bugs. Then I'd understand if they stopped reviving classes, but that's not the case. So fixing this for Crokee or any player that might find themselves in this exact situation in the future, shouldn't realistically take time out of anyone's schedule. Unless you're so busy that you don't have even minutes to spare in entire months. And you really can't sacrifice a few minutes (I don't know how much time it takes to revive a class but I can't imagine it goes above tens of minutes), to fix a playthrough that players sacrificed hundreds of hours for?

Any reasoning they might give (or not give at all, they don't have to), will be just a silly excuse because I don't see a real reason why they should stop doing this. Bugs shouldn't be part of the Hardcore gamemode. Not cool. Not understandable.

Unless I'm incredibly off about the number of how many HIC(H) players at like lvl 70+ die to unavoidable bugs while having video proof of that incident and this happens everyday and that's why CT can't keep doing this. If that's the case, I'm sorry CT.

edit: also I realize that this post makes me seem even more frustrated than the OP even though I've never even done any of the special gamemodes myself, but their decision of just not helping with class revivals anymore, left me stunlocked.

I do not revive anything, i'm just the link in-between and through support.

It's a complicated topic and i know this thing is important for the people playing the gamemode, the main/end goal would be to not have those issues at all, and the issues that would remain wouldn't break the experience beyond having to /class for example.
Next update, there will be a slime platform underneath the drop in case things are not triggered properly, the overall issue is fixed for 2.0 tho

If there are known recurrent important issues (quest or content for me mainly) like this one, i do not mind being PMd about them so i can look at them more easily and directly. It's already something i do on a daily basis.

Considering how infrequently a player makes it this far in the game on a challenge gamemode, it seems pretty irresponsible to not revive this specific scenario

how did it take over 2 years for someone to finally place a couple of slimeblocks

its ridiculously unfair that 2 other hics who've died to this bug were revived but now suddenly the support team is antsy about it. someones effort and progress shouldnt be for nothing because no one bothered to implement the easiest fix imaginable for a super well known bug.

Of course I'm mad. But I don't have the time nor the energy to deal with this anymore. I can see why they don't want this to continue as it could snowball, but on the other hand, having to resort to borderline glitch abuse to prevent death just also shows how bad the bug is for this quest (and many other quests that make you fall). It's also frustrating this quest has been out for 2.5 years and nothing has been done about it until 2.0.

I am very sure a significant portion of Lv 50+ HIC(H) players die due to bugs instead of legit deaths. It's just a matter of would it be faster to get a slim chance for a revive that could take months/years or just to start over. 300 hours is a lot of time and commitment to just start over, and this does not include the hundreds of hours from other people that helped me along the way.

sucks that wynn continuously screws over the most dedicated players because they cant decide on a course of action, last we heard (the last time this exact same bug happened lmfao) they wanted to set up a little committee of sorts to go over situations like these, now they dont wanna do anything at all.
