So, the 2.0 beta has been recently opened. A new raid has been added to the game: The Nameless Anomaly.

Well, what does this have to do with Corkus? Here's some dialogue from the quest Mixed Feelings:

    • Rensa: You have been a pawn your entire existence on this world. The worst part is you don't even know it.
    • Rensa: Do you, for example - Know the name of your ultimate enemy? The reason for the war on your land?
    • Rensa: No? Didn't think so. I have no time for this. You served your purpose, even if you did try and redeem your barbaric behaviour... Kill him!

"Know the name of your ultimate enemy?"- this is quite the interesting piece of dialogue. But now, we know its true meaning.

The name of the raid boss is "The Nameless Anomaly." We do not know its name. See what I'm getting at?

The raid is endgame content; it is what one might call one of our ultimate goals in the game, beating the raid. Indeed, it is our ultimate enemy. And the Nameless Anomaly is, as Rensa said, a reason for the war on our land. It opens void holes, allowing darkness to seep into our realm, and thus bringing about conflict and war.

This only leads to more questions, however, chiefly: why and how does Rensa know?

Let's think about it. We know that Corkus was created by some separatist group that had fled Fruma. They accomplished this by traveling through the northern mountains. How, though? According to the Relos Library, there was another, heavily guarded passage separate from the one we travel through to get to Ragni. If we travel along the coastline from Ragni, we find a giant gate with several Fruman guards.

That doesn't make sense, though. When one passes through the Fruman mountains, they lose their memory. Even the Relos Library acknowledges this. So how could a group of magic-less peasant workers overpower well-armed soldiers, especially confused and without their memories? Sure, maybe they could have possibly made it through the mountain and then lost their memories, but even then, the soldiers wouldn't have given up and said "GG" once the rebels made it outside.

But what if there was another passage? Or perhaps many other passages? Some people will try to create convoluted explanations in an attempt to make this make sense. But we will circle around this problem no more- today, we face the hard truth. So how does one travel through an entire mountain range?

    They were teleported.

How would one accomplish this? They had no magic, and even if they had, such teleportation magic is unheard of among the civilizations of Wynncraft. Gawrick states that the teleportation magic he is working on is completely unknown to villager kind.

You might be able to guess where I'm going next with this. Which being in Wynncraft is able to create passages through space? The Nameless Anomaly.

That's it- the Corkians escaped through a void hole. You may say that the Nameless Anomaly would not allow such a thing to happen, but this claim is disproven when we use void holes to make our way to the Eldritch Outlook in the quest A Journey Further.

Why are there void holes in Corkus, though? Here we come to one of our big reveals:

Greg is the Queen of Fruma.

Consider: after defeating the Parasite in the Nexus of Light raid, Orphion tells us to stop "her." Who is her? Well, a queen might fit that description. Perhaps the Queen of Fruma? We don't know of any other major female antagonists.

(You may be going, "shit, another dern is fruma theory." Yes, I understand it's hard to accept. And I completely agree; those other theories are completely wrong. Rest assured though, for I am right. Everything I say is correct. Also, this is slightly different, and it has loads of evidence backing it up. Again, I'm not saying that Dern is Fruma; I'm just saying that this theory is somewhat reminiscent of a "dern = fruma" theory.)

Geographically, this does not conflict with anything. We don't know what's south of Wynn, so it's not impossible that the Silent Expanse could extend westward all the way to Fruma.

All of this does make perfect sense. Void holes are rather mysterious things, so it would not be surprising if they had side effects, such as causing those who use them to lose their memories. This would explain why the Fruman mountains cause people to forget about their pasts. Perhaps the passage through which we enter Wynn is also a void hole; after all, nothing we see would disprove such a claim.

This also highlights the masterful story-writing of the Wynncraft CT. We begin our adventure leaving Fruma by traveling through a void hole, and we end our journey traveling through void holes in the Silent Expanse. The beginning ties in with the end, and everything makes sense.

Another thing that this theory explains is the name of the province, "Fruma." Why is it called Fruma? Because we go fru (mispronunciation of "through;" the Dern Beast has a speech impediment. Don't make fun of them, please) the void holes.

One might claim that this theory doesn't make logical sense when we consider that Fruma sends soldiers to Wynn, though. Well, consider this: the Corruption doesn't serve Dern (shocking coming from me, I know. Glad, @TrapinchO ?). Corruption is its own force. It is formed from the clash between Light and Dark. Bak'al may serve Dern, but does Corruption? No. The Dern Beast needs a way to keep their own pawns in check- that is, by making them fight one another. This way, when the time comes, they can easily take over everything.

    And now, the ultimate reveal:

When we fight Aledar in AHC, killing Tasim first and moving on to Aledar's second phase, we are teleported to a black arena. Why is this? Simple: Aledar is a creature of Darkness. He comes from Fruma, the Realm of Greg. How do we know that Aledar isn't actually a spy sent by Greg? And at the end of the quest A Journey Further, we sacrifice Aledar's soul. Do we really, though? I say no. Rather, we are freeing Aledar from his corporeal body. Aledar actually serves Dern, and by killing his human body, we allow Aledar, in his true form, to return to Dern.

TL;DR - Corkians escaped through void holes, Greg is the Queen of Fruma, and Aledar is a being of Darkness.

This theory hadn't come fru ma ears till now
    but you're wrong.

"Know the name of your ultimate enemy?"
clearly, since we're being asked if we know the name of our ultimate enemy, the enemy has a name to know

    "They were teleported."

    nah, don't buy it.

Excerpt from the Relos Library, chapters 2 and 3:
"350 years ago, however, a splinter group left Fruma through the mountains on the northern coastline.
This was a feat previously thought impossible due to the unnatural mountain range and another, heavily guarded passage.
These rebels were highly skilled workers who, much like the Wynn recruits, lost the memories of their origins once they passed through the mountains.
Confused, scared and vulnerable, they migrated to a large island close to the northern gate: the island of Corkus.
Back then, Corkus was an entirely independent, peaceful and self-sustaining nation.
Its sole inhabitants were the Avos"

How could a group of magic-less peasant workers overpower well-armed soldiers?

"These rebels were highly skilled workers"

"Greg is the Queen of Fruma."

    dangit you got me

    nvm :D
as stated in RoL 2, dern exists in the plane of influence, not the world of wynn. so even if greg is the queen of dern, she can't be the queen of dern.
and if she's the queen of dern, she can't be the queen of fruma. they're two seperate places. they might overlap, but just like the villagers elves and dwarves have their own seperate legislation from orphion, the ruler of dern cannot be the ruler of fruma.

why is it called Fruma? Because we go Fru Sohso's pilgrimage of madness.
    that's all thx bye

I’m 99% sure that he’s referring to the Dern beast. While Greg is certainly powerful, he isn’t as powerful as the Dern Beast and he wasn’t the reason why the War of the Realms started thousands of years ago.

I mean a bit unrelated, but considering the reason for the war in the physical realm was kinda caused by the hubris of Elves breaching into the Realm of Light... are the elves the true antagonists of Wynncraft?
