Beta 2.0 Lag Issues?

Not a real issue for the general tbh, but I think it's worth noting that while the new skill effects are nice, they are all quite particle heavy. Or so I thought was the reason for my lag issues, but I still seem to lag after doing "/particles low" and lowering all my client side particle settings too.

I don't have too many lag issues on the normal server, just lag issues on the beta server. I don't think it's because of beta server lag, but because of the new skills perhaps being particle heavy, perhaps being not well optimised yet.

I'm just curious if anyone feels this kind of lag when trying to spell spam, I was testing ways to make an effective spellspam build with the new mana and spell system but I can't test it's actual performance in battle because of lag issues :(

EDIT (TL:DR): The new spell effects are beautiful, but they seem to be causing FPS lag - and I personally think it's because the particles are excessive. Also debating whether it's a thing with the spell system because I seem to lag with particles set to minimal as well.

 

are we talking FPS lag or server lag? because I've been getting frame drops without even casting spells, and the servers seem pretty unstable rn

 

FPS Lag, server lag is actually surprisingly okay for me
