Wynntils not showing up in forge mod area

I have successfully downloaded forge and when I open up the launcher I have selected forge. When I launch minecraft it shows that I have forge downloaded but in the mods section on the main screen wynntils doesn't show up. I have downloaded wynntils and put it in a new folder titled "mods" in the .minecraft folder. I have watched lots of tutorials and I am super confused. If anyone knows how to help me then that would be great.

 

make sure you're running forge for minecraft 1.12.2, since that's the version that wynntils is made for
